Hey guys can anyone recommend an anime TV series for me? I've never really seen the interest in anime, but I love the Studio Ghibli films (if that counts?) I really love the sense of freedom and adventure that you get from their films. but is there any TV series that is similar? I used to enjoy pokemon as a kid so perhaps it stems from that? Any recommendations would be appreciated, and apologies if I come off ignorant, I don't really know what i'm looking for.
I think you meant to say Clannad. It's okay, I'll just judge you.
Currently working my way through Clannad and while it hasn't quite succeeded just yet, the conclusion of Fuuko's arc brought me the closest something ever managed to do.

The next saddest thing doesn't happen before the next season. Or, the Tomoyo OVA was pretty good as well, still kind of the same thing though since it isn't part of the season itself.

When should I watch the Tomoyo and Kyou OVA's, before or after AS?

[editline]13th February 2013[/editline] If you are watching them all right after each other it might be a better idea to watch them afterwards though.

It's a pretty safe start for anyone who isn't really into anime, I think it's what you're looking for. Each episode or so there's a new "story" of sorts. The anime takes place in different places in most episodes.

Is it just me or is getting entertained by manga much easier than getting entertained by anime?
Amnesia wasn't really catching my interest but after the last episode, I'm curious now on where this is going.
I think you meant to say Clannad. It's okay, I'll just judge you.
haven't watched it yet, I take it I should?
Had a dream that was a strange mix of Maoyuu and LotR. Was about to throw the ring into the volcano when the babe version of Sauron appeared, and persuaded me to her side, and we then defended my hometown against rampaging tornadoes. I think I also took part in a sumo wrestling competition later on [editline]13th February 2013[/editline] lol my title
Whelp, Clannad episode 18 really went from happy fun times to shit times in the blink of an eye.
haven't watched it yet, I take it I should?
yes yes absolutely you should yes absolutely you should yes
I get chills every time I hear Clannad because of everything I've heard about it. And I've only read the description of it. What am I doing

2nd chapter of Psychopath Harem is out guys
uh she stores it in a ring... shown several times...
Yes and no. The girls keep the soul gems stored in rings while in daily life, but they then incorporate it into their costume somewhere when they transform into a magical girl. In Mami's case it's stored in her hair clip. An early production image of Mami's hand and ring: [t]http://i.imgur.com/gXt7ffN.jpg[/t] A production image of Mami's magical girl costume where the hair clip can be clearly seen (note that it retains the same color as her soul gem): [t]http://i.imgur.com/ArSYQxN.jpg[/t]
Geezus, you'd have to spill salt, break a mirror and post that cat under a ladder all at once to get as unlucky as that.
I was joking about that earlier and it ended up almost happening to me. My foot did the same exact thing except I didn't fall nor was I carrying an umbrella

[editline]13th February 2013[/editline] also i'm on the third episode of monster... god damn what a satisfying third episode this is so far, especially the part in the cafe with eva. even though it was fucked up at the same time. and someone recommended mushi-shi up a ways... travis willingham provides probably one of the best dub performances i've ever heard, plus the dude is married to laura bailey, what a pimp. probably one of the best if not the best animes i've ever seen.
I'm only a quarter way through spicy wolf s2 and I know I'm gonna miss this one when I finish
Buy the light novels when you're finished! There are currently seven volumes published by Yen Press, with the sixth taking place after the events of the second season (Vol. 5) and the seventh which is basically three short stories compiled together. Iirc, the OVA you've likely seen at the end of the first season is one of the short stories from the seventh volume.
