I know I'm pages late, but I met the creator at NYCC. Shook his hand, and got two signed prints.

Has a very charming Eastern European accent, and yes, the comics are done by taking a photo with real people, and adding a background.

yep the quoted-sized thumbnail has them about the same size as one of my scroll steps, scrolling up and down makes most of them turn or move a little
