I'd really like to see the sequel deal with actual moral ambiguity about this issue. Something that really makes you question who is right instead of screaming at you about who you're supposed to support.
The solution to the whole "well they'll just come back with reinforcements and rape the shit out of them" is that maybe the company went bankrupt when not only did they come back empty handed, but footage got leaked of the atrocities they were committing.
The truth is, Humans are NASTY creatures when someone weaker than us has something we want, be it land, resources, etc. History has shown this. Even if they allowed the humans to occupy their planet and mine for unobtanium, they wouldn't stop there. Slavery and then genocide would inevitably develop. However, human civilization and morality has gotten significantly more advanced. It'd be nice to see them cover the complexities of what might happen if a group of humans try to ACTUALLY take the gentle and peaceful route to obtaining unobtanium, perhaps with a group of Pandorans on another continent.

Most "family movies" have some sort of thing that kids won't really understand and/or notice.
When older persons see it, they may see a whole new connection that kids won't understand.
Take the extra thing when bying Kung Fu Panda 2 for example. One of the first lines of that short movie is tigress saying "Who's hand is that?" While the panda is the only one there at the moment that even have hands. (Sounds like po is touching some butt. Sneaky beast.)

One thing that annoyed me is that there's a scene where they're shooting arrows at the ships and nothing happens, yet in the movie's final battle they somehow manage to start penetrating the aircraft windows.
