This is the meme-richest thread on all of Facepunch by two and a half landslides. You can barely post a tangentially related pic without somebody quoting and captioning it with something like "These aren't my glasses", "Well that escalated quickly", "Soon" etc.
The regulars just don't like memes that have entered the mainstream 'cause a) it means they're now used by people they don't want to associate with and/or b) they've already heard it so often they've genuinely grown tired of it. Meme faces used to be aaaawlrighty here until someone pointed out how frequently people (ab)use it on facebook.
Either way they're still licking /b/'s and redddit's boots for new material, so it's not like memes in general aren't funny for them.

I mean it works for stuff like XKCD because it's often a lot of words or jokes about science but it doesn't work that well with this
it could at least have some color and backgrounds or something

also there's a big problem with the size of the text and the use of space in the image, you could cut out quarters from the sides of that comic and it'd both look better and take up less space and filesize
