This one struck a note with me.
Back in the early years of high school I had a friend named Thomas. We weren't super close or anything, but we hung out a lot, and he was just friendly. He was that guy of the group who cracked all the dumb jokes, and ended up being the butt of a few jokes. He was a really good sport about it.
Before junior year started he was diagnosed with cancer. He was getting treated and all that, and he was little more than a Skype message away at all times. I never did though. Everyone was so confident that he would be back. I guess the generally optimistic attitude that kept me complacent, I guess.
Shit sucks.
He wrote all these screenplays. Always wanted me to act in them. Kinda wish I got the opportunity.
