I never got how Kickstarter works. If I was to give money to a project, how would I know that my money is being put to good use? There are more than a few Kickstarter projects that have asked for outrageous sums of money, to me it seems like borderline fraud.

Actually most kickstarters well.. Happen, in some cases they did not came out true but as far as i know (and donated) most of them do get released at some point.

Our memes were hilarious to us because seeing one not only brings joy because its funny, but it combines it with the strong feeling of belonging to a community of other faggots who care to sit and understand the complex relationships between these pictures. We always wish we could explain to a loved one why a sentence with the structure of a preschooler's and a distorted picture of a rasterized face was so funny, and we'd be frustrated not being able to sum up a whole 3 months of how the meme was born and evolved fast enough to make them understand.
Then one day. A fucktard figures it out. He gives some watered down version to his other fagball friends who have their eyes glued to a smartphone after discovering twitter in the year 2012. Then it blew up.
We were sort of over all of our creations. We saw them pass away and we buried them decently under new content. Now we watch as the rest of the world (fucking necrophiliacs) plays with their corpses, misinterpreting scars and deforming their bodies.
But mostly we're pissed off because after so much effort in trying to explain to them why its so awesome and not being recognized for it, they suddenly find it when we're over it, and THEN it blows up.
