tissues, nothing that hurts the soul more than wiping away a runny nose with something that feels like sandpaper
... you're actually paying for that?
It's a super expensive hobby/work if you want to be effective. Of course you can just do everything yourself and spend 10 years on something that can be done in a couple of months.

Bed, shoes, biking stuff. Things that I use a lot basically. Shoes for example: I save a lot of money by buying 1 pair of 200 euro walking shoes or such and have them last several years over buying 20 pairs of 20 euro shoes. And bed because... well I see the necessity in good nights sleep. I slept on an old couch bkac when I lived at my parents house so I had to get a good, proper bed. And that habit stays. I ride my bike basically everywhere so those things aren't the cheapest ones either. Recently I bought a new bike and it feels like I'm constantly going downhill with it, my old bike was so shit. :v:
Any sort of mechanical stuff you expect to use for a long time. Office chairs, for example. A cheapass Ikea one may seem tempting, but it's not going to last. This one lost all it's wheels years ago, one by one, and the cylinder that adjusts the height is scraping the floor (or would be, had I not put an old carpet underneath it). The cover is peeling off and it sqeaks more than a bag of mice slowly being fed into a mincer. Only reason I didn't ditch it sooner is the cost of getting a new one.

A decent experience with friends/family. Its not to say that something cheap or free is any less meaningful. Just that if you are gonna spend money, spend a little extra so everyone has a better time.
Its worth spending extra on something that will give you more money in time
A good mouse will save you stress
Honestly I have the superhuman ability to comfortably use any mouse. I used a cheapo Logitek mouse for about 6 years without any trouble.
