How come I never heard of this game

Ninjabread Man received unanimously negative reviews upon release.
All of the SSX games
Freekstyle
The console/handheld-exclusive GTAs
PS2 was literally the golden age of gaming that I missed entirely because I had already picked up an xbox and had no money left over.
Shadow of Colossus
Odin Sphere
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Red Dead Revolver
Also Guitar Hero and DJ Hero are pretty sweet, if you're into music games.

Fuck me, don't forget about Killzone 1 & 2, those games are fucking awesome!
So earlier today I picked up Psychonauts since i installed it a few weeks ago on my PC, and I only just got off because the game crashed.
That was 10 hours ago.
Also I hear it's on PS2, so you should absolutely try it if you haven't.
And Conflict Zone is fun, especially when you use the money cheat. And as has been said, Crash Team Racing is amazing, better than Mario Kart in my opinion, and the first three Crash Bandicoot games are also a blast (though the first one is much more unforgiving than the second and third).
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Kingdom Hearts
Ratchet and Clank series
...shit, son. There's too many to list!
Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy if you haven't played it.
Godzilla: Save The Earth.
Bought a PS2 just to play it again.

007: Everything or Nothing
WipEout Fusion
XGRA

NFS: Hot Pursuit 2
Midnight Club 3 DUB Remix
Ridge Racer V

Strange box art aside, this is a fantastic chill puzzle game.

Totally recommended if you like platformers. Someday I'll 1cc this.
Damn, I don't think I'll be able to play all of them in one life.
Jak and Daxter & Jak and Daxter 2
Also Jak 3, wasn't as good as the first two but still a pretty solid addition to the franchise and worth playing.
And of course Crazy Taxi

Western Vampire Zombie Demon Hunting FPS it's probably one of the best games every made and the fact that it's not very well known is a shame

I second this one, Darkwatch is an amazing and extremely unique game. Another great FPS for the PS2 is Black.
The Onimusha series has some good hack and slash along with a pretty good story.
Plus, the third one has Jean fucking Reno.
-Sly cooper 2 (one is also considered amazing, I just personally never was thrilled with it, 3 is ok)
-The Warriors ( A game adaptation of the Warriors film, completely overlooked)
-Final Fantasy VIII : Dirge of Cerberus ( I don't know how I got this game but I've never seen anyone else talk about it and it was an amazing third person shooter)
-Champions of Norath
-NBA live 04 was great if you like sports games ( roster management games are great)
-Tony hawks pro skater 3 through THUG 2 were ps2 I think, all of them being perfect (maybe less so 4).
If you can afford it, the .hack series is pretty good. The entire series is going to cost you well over $100, though.
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll definitely try some of these games
How come I never heard of this game
Because it's bad, and it one of three identical games.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
ATV Offroad Fury 2
XIII
mercenaries 2
I like the ".hack" series, I'm not sure how many else do.
It's a pretty standard real-time RPG in some ways, but the story is interesting enough. You're playing a game of a game.
I can't recommend Dark Chronicle enough (that's Dark Cloud 2 for us Amerifriends)
I didn't buy it until like 2008, and I just really wished I had played it when I was younger. The cutscenes and some themes are kind of kiddy, but it's still a really deep RPG. It was probably the biggest pleasant surprise that I got in the PS2's library.
