Damn are you guys like 14? I'm feeling old. I grew up in the 70s. We all wore bell bottoms and toe socks. In high school, the guys drove great muscle cars and we left our doors unlocked. Everybody smoked weed. Seniors were allowed to smoke cigarettes in the courtyard of the high school during lunch and between class. Hamburgers at McDonalds were 19 cents. Gas was 29 cents. My dad would give me four dollars and I'd spent the whole night out on the town in Seattle with my girlfriend. I took my girlfriend to prom in my dad's racing yellow 1970 Buick GSX. If you had a problem with somebody, you'd fight them. All the cool kids soaked their jeans super tight in the bathtub, then wore white t shirts, and a leather jacket over them. Kids were taught respect by their fathers. If a kid was acting out in public, an adult would pull them aside and put them right whether they were your kid or not. Gun crime wasn't even a thing. We had an after school shooting club in the basement of our school. We slung our .22 rifles onto our backs and brought them on the bus with us. In preschool, I even brought my dad's handgun to school for show and tell. There wasn't a single problem at all.
um if you're in your 50s then yes you are old

Back in my I did house work to earn time on the computer playing Jill of the jungle, Duke Nukem (the original not 3D), and a demo of Jazz Jackrabbit on the computer. I fought with my friends over who got to be Tommy when we pretended to be power rangers. I actually checked books out from the local library. Animal planet and the history channel were actually focused on animals and history.
Back in my days, nobody had a cellphone, and you being able to get in contact with someone depended purely on luck. And it sucked. 9/10 times the friend I called wasn't home. Huh, I hope he arrives before evening. Nope.
