i once voice acted in a friend's video that got ~10k views i used to make youtube videos and the most famous was 200k views (all others hovered around 2k) i've played with my band for the school "May Fair" festival for the past 3 years, i get lots of "hey, you're that drummer right?"s for the week or two after

Last year, there was this project in music class where everyone had to perform an act for their final grade, like composing a song, and then singing that in front of everyone. Due to past experiences with projects like these, I knew from the start that this was going to turn out to be a disaster. And indeed, the lessons where I should have prepared myself mostly ended up with me and my partner, a guy I was randomly assigned to, doing nothing; making zero progress. His suggestion was to do a rap song. And even though I hated rap, I decided to say "why not" and just go along with it So for the next days, I really didn't do anything greater than worrying my ass off about it, and for me it was almost certain we would fail. I was pretty shit at music theory anyways. My partner, however, was less lazy, and got stuff done in the meantime. We had our final result the day before the presentation, telling me that he would do the rapping, and I the singing of the chorus. And then, once the moment of truth came... Everyone applauded. There were about 150 people listening, and every single one of them was cheering like I was a rockstar or something. Much greater applause than for any other act preceeding ours. Not in my wildest dreams would I have expected such a response. My partner also got much praise, but I probably got more than he did. And then, we got to play it again in front of half the school. And again the same response. But it didn't feel right. I was the guy who did nothing, nothing but singing the chorus at least, why was I getting most of the praise? Is this what it's like to be a singer of a band? Being the star of the show while the others do all your work, your only contribution being your voice? Needless to say, I was extremely uncomfortable with the sudden fame I got. Not only because of the aforementioned, but also because I just couldn't deal with it generally. I was not used to it. It died down again after I actively decided to not talk about it no more though. But hey, at least I got a good grade out of it. And I now know that my voice isn't shit, so I got that going for me.

About 2 years ago in Chile there was the "student movement" with was (and it is still active) trying to make education free for all and such. My School was a place where about 95% of it was Pro-Protest, my cousing used to be one of the 5% who wanted to keep studying. (That is a strange thing to explain, we used to do protest to make our school more friendly with more equipment and infraestructure) One day the 95% decided to do a reunion with the school director, alumns and teaches, I assist because my Mom wanted to, so, 95% bring an Specialist about "Why you should be with us" and then, the 5 % leaded by my cousing step up and they were totally obliterated by the rest, scream, yells, pifias (whistle with fingers). Now, when everyone stopped arguing there was a "Free Microphone" where everyone could give their opinions, many came there, not being listend. I step up, grabbed the mic and scream "Yeeeeeeah!" Everyone stop talking, all were looking at me, my heart was beating like a motor with good gasoline. I explained that: "You, 95% you were given time to express your opinion and view points, but when the other 5% steps in you decided to shut them? Not even give them a chance to express?. You should not be fighting with each other, you should be attacking the Principal! He must answer for our demands!" Then everyone, 95%, 5% and teachers started to applause me, cheering and all those good things. Finally the Principal comes in and explain his reasons. Dude, that feeling was amazing. WE LOST 7 MONTH OF SCHOOL TOO.

Some kid got ate by a mountain lion up in Big Bear in like 2005. We were having a family camping trip at that same campground where he disappeared, and there were news and search crews everywhere, I remember the news lady and a firefighter showing me and my cousins how to keep a copy of our footprints. They found the kid like a year later all eaten. There is a memorial for him in the center of Fawnskin now. I wonder if the news footage still exists somewhere of us... I think it was Christine something from channel 11. I'm also one of the top 1000 870mcs users in BF3. :v:

I was on Perth's ABC radio for a segment as I won a competition to get in to the studio and go on one of the segments in the afternoon.

I've gotten plenty. 1. Hosted a Gmod 13 server way back when it was in beta. 2. Hosted a TF2 MVM server a few weeks after MVM came out. 3. I released Half-Life 2 Beta Deathmatch. 4. I made a few Sourcemod plugins that gotten popular.

I was in the county-wide spelling bee my freshman year in high school. I failed in the first round, but whatever.

More like 30 seconds of fame but I once starred in a commercial for Disney World in Orlando,Florida. It was filmed in 2004 but I never found out if it aired My stepdad told me it was scheduled to air on ESPN To this day I have never seen the commercial. I still remember how everything went so I can always post the entire story if you'd like.

I was on National TV in the Phillipines while we were on vacation there back in 2007. My Dad had this remote controlled plane he built to take aerial photos with and brought it with him. We were staying with this one family, and one of the guys who worked for them knew someone at the Fillipino news station ABSCBN. He told them about the plane and we got a call later saying that they wanted to interview us. Taking photos with that plane was a 2-man job, with me using a controller to take the pictures while my Dad flies it with his own controller. I use a small portable screen mounted on the controller that gives me a feed of what the plane's camera is seeing. They took us out to this field where some locals fly model planes for the interview so we could demonstrate. They'd never seen anything like Dad's plane, especially one that could fly as far AND take video/pictures like his. They asked us questions about the plane, we flew it, we showed them how we could watch what the plane was seeing, etc. Afterwards Dad actually got a few emails from the Filipino government asking if he was interested in working with them on creating surveillance drones for them to monitor the activity of terrorists out in the jungles. Dad said no. I get the feeling however that they might have made some of their own attempts afterwards... We've tried to get a copy of that broadcast, but ABSCBN was never able to get it for us, unfortunetley. I'd totally post it on YouTube if we had it.
