I have a great mistrust with my family and Im always worried about their judgement and disappointing them.

i have a laptop with nvidia and intel graphic chips and that switch back and forth to save battery. of course for games, i use the nvidia chip and got a boost for gaming. nothing major, but its a nvidia 840m, so I just expected better than intel performance and thats all. it ran my games so i didnt look further. Today, I decided to try out the steam vr test, and for some reason, it only wanted to run on the intel chip, even when i forced it to run on the nvidia one. I eventually used the device manager to disable the intel chip entirely, and of course the vr test decides to use software rendering instead, which is even worse. in my search for what was wrong, I realized I never actually installed the nvidia driver on my laptop at all. I played on this thing for over a year, and I never noticed

When I'm alone in the house I sometimes read stuff out loud with different voices. This has happened several times with posts on FP.

i learnt visual basic in primary school and i started a fake company with a friend who did the same shit but even after all these years of experience i still find myself wondering how to do seemingly basic shit like, a lot of the actual logic behind it never really occurs to me i think one of the reasons is because i learnt in a time when youtube tutorials were a thing and they never really taught the logic behind it, only how to actually do it so i literally just copied code and didn't really learn much from it and that habit still sort of sticks with me from time to time and i fucking hate it

I'm surprised how theres like 2 accounts with play hours similiar to me and they're already a thousand dollars worth while mine is just poor af I don't have a credit card, I got Sniper Elite V2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Tropico 3 - Steam Special for free. I got a beta key of DOTA 2 from my dad. Garry's Mod and Premium for TF2 was a gift to me from a friend. Pretty much i was able to get my account worth something by buying [B]absolutely nothing.[/B]

There are certain posters who can't help but write fucking novels for posts. I gloss right over that shit since I can't be bothered to read anything that needs that many words to get the point across. I know that is a jerkass way to feel but can't help it. I wrote scientific papers for years, and those are written to be as concise as possible; using more words than [i]absolutely[/i] necessary to convey information was always the enemy. Now, I involuntarily get a twinge of annoyance at long text anywhere I see it.

I just cant get precise in my engineering lessons, no matter how hard I try my little projects always end up around 3 - 6 mm off compared to the technical print of it.

Although I know it's not the case (or well, I'm 99.9% certain), I secretly hope that fiction writers such Tolkien, Lovecraft, and even Rowlings, actually just have an incredible insight in our world that us common people just can't comprehend. A lost past filled with elves and orcs, eldritch horrors lurking beneath, and magical beings hidden from us... Basically, I really want to live in a fantasy world, even if they're not that great places to live realistically.
