not me but a person in my dorm building listens to vinyl on his beats headphones
I don't like live music at all, it has always been a massive disappointment and I much prefer listening to studio recordings. I don't get the WOW YOU GOTTA HEAR THEM LIVE thing, every concert I've been to has varied from boring (music is too loud my feet hurt why are those people jumping up and down it sounds better on my phone) to downright awful (band shows up absolutely wasted lead singer got throat surgery and sounds ridiculous now, everyone is fat and wheezing). It probably doesn't help that I've never considered myself a fan of any band. I listen to albums once or twice and then delete all but one or two songs that I like because I don't get the whole "album as an experience" thing either. According to some people I'm Hitler because of that though.
As someone who goes to on average 2-3 shows a week, I have to disagree. It might be because I go to really small shows, but live venues give a certain intimacy that studio recordings lack. Like I can see how going to a Tswizzle show would be somewhat boring, since there will be like thousands of people between you and the artist, but at small <100 people shows, you really get to experience the artist. I cannot count how many life long friends I have made with both musicians I love and fans of music I love from going to live shows, something that would be impossible by just sitting in my room and listening to stuff on cassette/vinyl. Even when bands show up drunk/high it can be fun. Nothing is like going to a show in someone's bedroom, have one huge smoke sesh with everyone at the concert, including the bands, and then watch them all play after having an intimate moment with them. I get that you cannot do stuff like this with just about any popular bands, but that is kind of my point. If I only went to large shows I would probably not like the concert experience, for example, I hate festivals, but small shows are better than the best parties in my experience. [sp]Also I now help host small bedroom-esque shows so I'm kind of biased.[/sp]
I can tell the difference between 128 and 320 kbps mp3 but I can't tell the difference between 320kbps and FLAC/CD audio. My headphones have excellent sound replication too. :saddowns:

I like the music, I don't really give a shit about the people behind it. they could be child molesting wife-beating meth cookers and it wouldn't matter if the music is good. not that I'd even find out about that ever. even at the shows where the artists play the music well I still find myself thinking that I could be comfier listening to this on a bus or in bed or something than standing there with my feet hurting
where the fuck are the confessions in this thread
I used to always get "fetus" and "fetish" mixed up for some reason
"Yeah man, BDSM is totally one of my fetus" I can see this go horribly wrong indeed
out of morbid curiosity i want to see how a conversation involving fetishes turns out if you replaced fetish with fetus
A fetish should be legally considered a person after 28 weeks.
where the fuck are the confessions in this thread
It turned into WAYT Actually On Topic: I have always been an extremely paranoid person and I know that one of these days I'm gonna end up paying for that

I have a soft spot for musical groups like Panic! At The Disco and twenty one pilots.

I've literally deleted band's discographies off my computer when I learn there members are transphobic, misogynistic, etc. Guess my "scenes" really push to blur the lines between artist and audience though, so like the people behind the music are friends, not entertainers, if that makes any sense.
i just fucking love pet shop boys like, i can recognise most of their well known songs within a second of them playing one time i had my headphones on (but with no music) and i could just barely hear my mother listening to always on my mind, and i knew what it was almost as soon as it started
I am a really anxious person. I am so anxious I randomly get anxious throughout the day for no reason whats so ever.
Confession. My room is literally full of garbage. I should clean up but I really just don't care enough.

I lost a few friends because they weren't able to separate politics from friendship and got upset at me for not supporting Bernie Sanders. It really hurts losing friends that you've known for 5+ years because you disagree on such a small thing and get along on everything else

I'd like to confess, this thread is trash
this thread turned from a general confession thread to people confessing their love for one and another. im not sure if thats on topic or not. My own confession, I just discovered the screen snipping tool.
It turned into WAYT Actually On Topic: I have always been an extremely paranoid person and I know that one of these days I'm gonna end up paying for that
consider the fact that maybe it has stopped you from paying for being too trusting/unaware in the past
When I'm playing CSGO comp and people start calling knife rounds I'm the guy who ruins it by shooting people
When I'm playing CSGO comp and people start calling knife rounds I'm the guy who ruins it by shooting people
You monster!
Whenever I announce my departure from a chat room, I like to wait a little bit and see if anybody says goodbye to me.
I imagine myself in situations that literally couldn't happen all the time but if they did I'd be the coolest motherfucker I tell you what
