As stressful as being laid off / made redundant from my last job has been, I'm honestly relieved that it ended the way it did. Literally the text book definition of a mixed blessing.

I would abandon everything, including my family, friends, and any other social obligations, to be put in control of my own universe, where I could sculpt out anything from my wildest fantasies to the most mundane of creations and live any life I chose to, and abandon it when I felt like it to move on to something else. Its selfish, I think. But I would do it in a heartbeat.

I feel as if I'm becoming more separated from friends, both in real life and online. Doesn't help that I'll probably lose contact with most of them next year :/

Never talked to anyone from any of the grade schools I went to, nor anyone from community college or undergrad, once I left. Unsurprisingly, my internet friends of 10 years are the only ones who survived that, even though I only first met them in person last summer. But local friends come and go. It's just how life is. As for the internet ones, just work on 3-5. Chatting in voice somehow is best for that, I found.

I think the most money I've spent this year so far is just on art commissions. I just love seeing art of my characters. [sp]I just recently had one finished of a character getting BANGED[/sp]
