Sometimes I wonder if any of my online friends would notice or care if I was away for a year or more. I have friends in real life who care about me, so maybe I just have some weird desire to be liked by everyone I know. Also, I had feelings for one of my online friends for a period of time, but I don't think there's any way anything could've worked out. It was a very weird emotional situation to be in.

It was a very weird emotional situation to be in.[/QUOTE] There's a guy I knew, a casual friend of mine who lived nearby and we had kept planning on hanging out, but never got our schedules matched. One day he admitted to me he had been diagnosed with lymphoma (the bad kind) about 5 years prior and it was getting close to the end - the reason he hadn't been able to sort out schedules (which he was always kind of hazy on) was because he was going through crazy chemo and either didn't have time or didn't have energy. The last thing I told him was angrily accusing him of bullshitting me, and he never logged on since. All of his accounts have been inactive since that night. I don't know what happened to him and I feel really awfully shitty about it.

I miss paindoc, he was a really chill guy. :frown:
