Sweden is nice especially the southern part.
France- Boring. Also the cooking is overrated and food culture is a drag.
Woah, coming from an Englishman, no less :v: I'm greatly offended.
But yeah I don't feel like it's anything more special than, say, Italian cuisine for example. "Luxurious" restaurants also are a waste of money IMO, you're certainly better off eating local home-made food with a countryside family, would certainly be a lot nicer.
When it comes to food i prefer to think of myself as Australian ( a cultural thief).
Food in the UK is blander than the average. Food in france isn't great. Also I realy don't like taking time to eat food that isn't great and I don't bother talking to people at the table if the food is great.
Might move to Asia. Curry and noodles. Two greatest foodstuffs ever.
I visited a quite a few places in Europe with my Mum over the years (my Mum lives in the UK so tickets and such are crazy cheap).
Czech Republic: Was pretty cool. Awesome castles and a lot of cool things to see in Prague. Would visit again. Mind you its been well over 10 years since I visited and I don't remember very much in terms of the names of the places we saw there.
Italy: Every time I've been to Italy its been great. Florence is one of my favorite places ever. And I love the food.
France: I like the French countryside and France has some pretty darn amazing Castles to see. I actually haven't been to Paris or seen any of the sights around there.
Switzerland: I've only been around the mountains in Switzerland, which are awesome. Also man oh man, proper Swiss Chocolate is like one of the best things ever. My only gripe is its one of the most expensive places I've ever visited.
Spain: Everyone smokes. There is no escape.
I'd love to see Germany and Scandinavia as a whole.
I don't know, I don't know how Europeans take to Yanks in their homeland. (By Yanks I mean Americans, of course.)
This thread embodies what I love about the internet. All these people from different countries, who will likely never meet eachother, are for a moment friends or maybe even adversaries. Even if it's just ridiculing culture or history, I love reading the interactions here. Wish I had something to add, but I've never been outside of the US.
I've been to Canada. Once. By the way; if you've heard Canadians are oddly polite, they are. Except more so then whatever you've heard. It was very odd...
If what I hear is true, if you dislike a happy life, the government providing for the needs of its citizens, and stable economies then Europe will be miserable for you.
But, if you are one of the 100% of the people who do like those things, it sounds great.
it all super sucks
take it from me i own a map
States in their current.. Well, state; are young, yeah. The nation however is thousands of years old with recorded history going all the way from then to now, with bomb-ass castles and old cities and churches and cool shit everywhere. America is all like "Boo hoo, we had slavery and a civil war, are we historic now?" and the answer is no. No you're not.
Why do you hate freedom and democracy so much, son?
Ye. I'm kind of obsessed with the Berlin House scene, lol. I wouldn't mine Germany, but my grandfather took a trip there once and said the food was HORRIBLE. I've heard Denmark has a good healthcare system, is this true?
woawoawoa hang on there
your grandfather must not have good experiences with the food he's had because German food is the shit.
In my experience the best place in Europe is Switzerland, all the cities are untouched by war and so there's tons of really cool architecture and history. On a good day the Landscape is amazing too.
Sweden has a shitload of Saabs and Volvos, so it must be great
i go to another country every summer and there are a lot of cool country's in europe. i have never lived in another country so i don't know how it is to live there.
the Netherlands
I was born and I still live in the netherlands. there are cool places here but other country's are better imo.
Germany
I've never really been there in the summer but skiing in Germany is awesome. also the people are friendly and the food is awesome.
England
Only been to London so i don't know how the rest of the country is but London is pretty cool. everything is pretty expensive.
Austria
Austria is a great country for winter sports, the food is nice(a bit like Germany) and the people are nice too. In the summer you can go mountain biking and hike. the mountains are beautiful.
France
the smaller villages are awesome, Nice people and the food is good. Paris Lyon and Nice are beautiful too.
Italy
I went to Venice 2 years ago and it was beautiful. it's my favorite city in Europe.
I've never been to other parts of Italy but the food is awesome and the people are great .
Croatia
It's a great place for holidays. everything is cheap and the food is great too.
Spain
very hot in the summers but it's beautiful there. A lot of great foods and people are nice.
-snip-
Sometimes i really hate the fact that my country is just a drive-bye to Croatia. :(
England is quite good.
We have a culture that is quite diverse opposed to other countries. The gap between the south and the north is intense. In the south it is very posh and everywhere is fucking expensive yet if you come to the north everyone is out to gut you with a heroin needle and everywhere is fucking expensive.
Cornwall is alright
Slovakia?
Close, but no cigar.
His flagdog says Slovenia.
If i had a performance car or a racer bike, i would love to go to germany just for the no speed limit on autobahns freeway.
Slovakia?
Again with this.
Slovenia.
Slovakia.
How hard is it to differ.
Oh wait everybody messes us up :(
Those places aren't that great though. You could literally pick any place in the Netherlands and it'll be better than Amsterdam.
Didn't say they were great. I said they are fun to be.
It's fantastic !

And the Netherlands is even smaller and the population is just as diverse, mainly due to the history of the Netherlands in general I guess, annexations and migrations and the Netherlands pretty much being the center of naval world trade, plus the differences between dominant religions and dukes / bishops ruling the provinces. It's interesting.
In the UK depends were you go for the price, if you want to spend little stay away from the big cities.
Internet is decent compared with the US.
Alright place to go if like don't mind weather or the big city prices.
Belgium is nice and Spain has bad drivers

How is the south posh, except maybe surrey
Do they hate Muslims and Asians "Including Indians, Malays and Chinese" There?
with a few exceptions; british regional accents get nicer the further north west you get. They're fairly horrible in the very south and a few major cities
Do they hate Muslims and Asians "Including Indians, Malays and Chinese" There?
Tbh if you look brown, some people in some countries will automatically assume you're an immigrant and yell mean things at you in their own language.
Latinos and east asians excluded. Girls love latinos and everybody assumes all east asians are japanese tourists.
Dressing like a blatant tourist could help, but then people will treat you like a blatant tourist.
they also had these things in the malls where you could insert your recyclables and get paid for them
Wow, the US doesn't have this?
