Around the 4th(?) story arc of the original series I stopped watching but still played the game.
I pull out my old deck whenever I want to feel nostalgic.

No, I was flipping through the channels, saw Yu-Gi-Oh, thought "oh hey, they're replaying the old episodes". Apparently I was wrong.
It ended much like Blegoveich's job, took too long and no one really cared
