How would anyone who doesn't know you in real life understand the in joke you have
I understand how its dumb but how is it racist?
I guess you could call it an inside joke than. No one seems to get it. An i don't feel like explaining. More boxes please :/
No we get it, you're racist, inside joke my ass.
Yep. Posting pictures of asian guys with peace signs is racist. You're a fucking idiot BlueYoshi. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming." - Seiteki))

Look at this gif. Clouds. It doesn't look like much, but the truth is that those clouds are on Mars, you know our planetary neighbour. This is a giant breakthrough, we have known that there is (and have been) water of Mars, but it has been frozen solid. It is true that these clouds are partially ice, but the fact that there is clouds means there is an atmosphere that (in theory) would be able to sustain life. Obviously this doesn't say whether there is life on Mars, but it is a small (but important) step closer to knowing if there can be life on Mars. Even if there might not be any life on Mars, this means we could potentially be able to move mankind there, now we just have to find raw materials there that can be used so that there is some profit to be made there which would make planetary expeditions there much more viable than if it just a lifeless rock with water on it.
Even if there might not be any life on Mars,
There isn't. If there is, it's damn good at hiding.
this means we could potentially be able to move mankind there, now we just have to find raw materials there that can be used so that there is some profit to be made there
I'm pretty sure that even if Unobtainium was on it, we wouldn't be able to get mining teams up there. It's roughly a 6 month trip just to go one way, and I don't think current technology allows for you to store at least a year's worth of food, air, and other supplies on the ship without severely hindering it. I might be wrong about that, though.

I won't post it because I know people hate the Omegle chat logs, but I'm currently doing the Spy mode and these two guys are trying to figure out what a Furry is. So far they think it's a penis that is covered in fur. Or that it is a horse. One of them tried to look up what a Furry was but said they found nothing.
There isn't. If there is, it's damn good at hiding.
To be fair, we haven't explored a whole lot of the martian surface and our current radar technology isn't quite sufficent enough to find signs of life from space. We can probably rule out any form of intelligent life on Mars though, since we haven't found any signs of terraforming on the surface. Microbes or smaller types of life can probably be found though, but as mentioned we would need to have to explore the surface a lot more (and bring with us a mobile labratory) before we can rule out even the smallest of lifeforms on Mars. Which is actually what is being planned now!
The first wave(s) of human interferance on Mars will most likely be robots, they require far less than a human to survive on a hostile planet like Mars, and if we are to ever live on a foreign planet it's going to have to be terraformed (or at least altered in such a way that it can sustain human life) before we decide to let humans live there. If we do, space stations like the ISS is probably more akin to the future of human life in space. I guess I should've clarified, when I say mankind I also include robots. =)
the cost of shipping materials from earth to mars would bankrupt ANY company that invested. we won't be seeing mars colony's (moon, maybe it's much closer) in our life time or or children's life time
NASA and the other space agencies in the world are in theory capable of sending materials to Mars and they recieve a lot less funding than most companies in the world recieve in profits, so I wouldn't say they would become bankrupt. Far from, since the technology to get there (and work there) can most likely be used on earth (a lot of our current technology comes from us going to the moon). The moon is just a huge rock and we have pretty much found out all that we need to know about it, and the only redeeming factor it has is the vast amount of He3 it has which could potentially be used for fusion reactors, but before we get the technology to make fusion reactors it will just be a moon. I wouldn't rule out man going to mars within the next 100 years, a lot can happen and technology is always improving, sure we probably won't see humans walking on the surface but I'm confident we will see more robots there. Hell, we went from being stuck on the ground to flying across our own world to getting into space and later walking the moon in 66 years (from the first manned flight in 1903 to the apollo mission in 1969), and we have already sent a few robots to the surface of Mars. I have great hopes for the future of space travels, bordering on almost naive optimism. But the way I see it, it is better to hopelessly dream about a better future than being overly negative. Besides, mankind has shown again and again that in its times of greatest strife she pulls through and overcomes all obstacles to a better future. =)
