lolwat calc is easy o.o Also, physics isn't harder or easier than engineering :P I know this sounds corny, but it's pretty different. We know way more math ._.
Depends on the teacher. Learning mathematics from a pure mathematician is pretty much the hardest thing you can do. He might be excelling in his field, but there's maybe one percent of great mathematicians who can explain it to people who aren't educated in the subject. Also, boobs. Hohoho, Mathematician master race.

No, the amount of people with those eyes is less than the amount with big eyes. Although I realise it's a joke.

There is a disproportionate amount of examples of "FPSs then" and Hexen isn't a FPS, if you count Hexen as an FPS so is Oblivion and Skyrim. There are more Fpss in the past than at present as soon the present FPSs will become "FPSs then". Also, history is written by the victors, only the good FPSs are remebered and featured here, giving a biased view of the past making it seem like it wall-to-wall classics. You also only picked present FPSs that are explicitly military-based, I'm sure there is a greater veriety of games not shown here although I am definiately not up-to-date on the genre. This nostalgia wanking only hastens your decent into becoming bitter, cynical old bastards thinking everything was better in "your day" purely because it was "your day". Things change, deal with it or het left behind with your cassettes and VHS and slow-as-fuck internet connections and 90s pop and all the other shit from "our day". Other peopel have made similar comments about this, which I am glad to see, but nostalgia wanking (especialy on this forum) really grinds my gears.
Red dot and ACOG scopes everywhere.
Lol This should put an end to the shitstorm. Edit: Ah last pic is Bad Company 2 not Crysis sorry. Now that I read the names of the game I just noticed he wrote mordern warefare 3 for Call of Duty 4 lol
The first part isn't true though lol
It's assumed in high mathematics (from what I've heard) that anything divided by 0 is infinity, based on the logic that the closer you got to 0, the larger the numbers would get. eg. 5 / 0.1 = 50 5/0.0000000001 = 5000000000 Sorry if I'm wrong, feel free to call me an idiot.
I realise I should've taken out the lower part and the name of the games. Edit: In fact I'll do that now.
The first part isn't true though lol
Man, the shit physicists make me put up with.....
Math makes me so sad because I know how worthless I am at it. And it doesn't make me LMAO either.
The first part isn't true though lol
What? Why not? The limit of any number divided by zero is infinity 1/0.1=10 1/0.01=100 and so forth. Unless you're nitpicking about the +/- sign they forgot

what is going on
It's assumed in high mathematics (from what I've heard) that anything divided by 0 is infinity, based on the logic that the closer you got to 0, the larger the numbers would get. eg. 5 / 0.1 = 50 5/0.0000000001 = 5000000000 Sorry if I'm wrong, feel free to call me an idiot.
Well, for a start 0/0 is undefined since 0/0 = x, therefore x*0 = 0, which means x can equal anything. Also, since x tends to 8 it technically never gets there, if I remember correctly. We've only touched on limits in terms of calculus at uni so far. Also, I study Applied Physics, so I'm some sort of half-physicist, half-engineer bastard. And for some reason our course (my year is the first year they've run the course) is based in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, as opposed to the Department of Cosmology and Gravitation next door :v: My uni makes no sense.

It's a discontinuous function. And as said before, only equals positive infinity as X approaches from the right.
 No more maths
It's incorrect because the solution's only valid when X approaches 8 from the positive side.
That's what I meant with the +/- sign nitpicking. Ugh the only people paying attention to that are mathematicians (physicists probably as well) and high school teachers. I'm an engineering student, and if you just solved a complex equation nobody's gonna give a shit if you forget that (MAYBE half a point) EDIT: aww no more science? I'll just return to my standard lurking state then

I did that with some glittery glue in second grade and gave it to a girl :unsmith:
