So many people hate the changes, but they keep on ploughing downwards towards the fires of hell.

In my opinion it isn't that bad. Even though it's retarded that it's public yet. They should've made it a beta and allowed people to suggest things, this way some looks better and others worse ( e.g the guide tab that actually isn't a guide ).

Seriously though, this website looks like something a secondary schooler would do as a final project or something - I can do better than this, and I only learnt web coding last year.

PLEASE press the Feedback tab on the bottom right and complain about the new layout. Hopefully if they receive enough documented negative feedback they will either revert the layout or make the new one somewhat usable. Thanks.

I submitted feedback about this, I suggest you do the same. It even allows you to highlight an area so I just highlighted the massive white empty space to the right of the screen lol.

It's like they accidentally released the tablet/smartphone version. This minimalist, Apple-esque "everything is white" approach is crap and unintuitive, how in the hell is this an improvement over last week's version?

This really pisses me off.

youtube never gets it. they make a shitty layout, and then people bitch about it, and then they're like "oh we're sorry, please don't hate us." then they fix it back to something we can easily get used to.

I made a minimalistic userscript for the homepage a while ago, and now I'm so used to it that I can't stand the normal layout. I've already seen 13 'edgy' oc pony avatars and that fucking skull pilot thing all the russians use countless times now. This is exactly why I didn't want youtube to have avatars in the comments, it was totally fine before hand and nobody complained about them.

Cinema mode for Magic Actions for Youtube on Chrome still works, so you can have a 720p player size window in the center of the screen. Though I hate how the new layout fucked up my homepage extension. The extension gave me a wide page of every new subscribed video and literally nothing else except the header, and I could hide videos that I don't wanna watch just by clicking a button under them. Now I have to use the actual sub box and in order to hide videos on that page, I have to open every video in another tab so it flags them as watched therefore it removes from that page. They probably changed it so the layout is more consistent with their other sites like google docs. But it's rather irritating how everything is on the left, leaving so much empty space on the right.

I surprisingly really like it could use some more centering :v: and a few tweaks here and there, but overall it's ten times better than the previous one imo

It's not that horrible except for that new "What to watch" shit that shows old content from your subscriptions that you've already seen and the left-alignment, and they can be fixed by scripts like [url=http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/153587]this one[/url]. But the lack of recommendations on the side bothers me, I always used to start my daily YouTube browsing by that, it being merged into the feed just tricks me into thinking it's a new episode of whatever show I am following.
