Technically a pizza is a pizza as long as it's using pizza dough which is a dough you really can only make pizza's with.
Like a language, food is changing all the time, due to different preferences. Anyone here going "its not a real pizza, duh" is pretty narrow-minded. The "Original" pizza was with buffalo mozzarella and tomato. Nothing else. So by that logic we're all eating it with both the wrong cheese, and with a lot more shit that shouldn't be put on it.
It's just dough with sauce.

Actually, I don't like cheese and tomato sauce. When I make pizza, I sort of push the ingredients into the dough and pour teryaki sauce all over over it to give it extra taste and some fluid.
In the original recipe for this kind of pizza didn't have teryaki sauce, so the pizza was nearly completely dry. I named it "desert pizza".
But basically, yes. Pizza is a round piece of bread with food on top of it. Any food counts. Cheese or not.
