Everything i said there goes double for saturday cartoons.
Because kids, Friday wasn't enough for you, not in the slightest. Just when that tear rolled down your cheek watching the credits to I.AM.WEASEL roll to a finish you ran right up to your bed, YOU WOULDN'T EVEN PROTEST, and everyone knew why: Mother fucking SATURDAY GOD DAMN MORNING CARTOONS STARTS BRIGHT AND EARLY!
I remember waking up at 6 fucking AM in the morning to watch SONIC. Not that terrible sonic x, but the orginal damn sonic adventures. Me and my brother would race down those stairs like it was a game of hot lava and the couch was the safe spot. (My rug was red too, Hot lava was THE SHIT to play with those rugs) Running down those steps was synonymous to breaking our damn necks but we didn't care -- We wasting quality cartoon time with ever second we did not make haste.
We would turn on our tvs, still recuperating and gatherings it's exploded pieces thanks to the awesome grenade that happened a mere 8 hours earlier. It pleaded with you to not turn it on, but when you did, you better damn well believe that tv cooperated with you or there would be hell to pay. You sat there with a giant bowl of frosted flakes in your lap, hardly able to even spoon them into your mouth, you were that concentrated and that excited about what new adventures those bodacious Teenage Mutant ninja Turtles were up to. Between brakes you wouldn't even DARE moving, even to go to the bathroom, the only thing that made you move was either when you ran out of frosted flakes and remembered you had a box of Lucky Charms in the kitchen, or you needed more chocolate milk.
Once again, i take utmost pride in my childhood, i pity the children that came after me. I mock them and their non existent Saturday morning cartoons. You may think i'm pathetic for ridiculing a child for something as juvenile as Saturday morning cartoons. But at least I HAD CHILDHOOD that only those born in new millennium could only wish for.
Those were the days man. Those were the days.

Claiming that gmod poses are not funny is a hasty generalization and is by itself a fallacy, fyi all the pics above were done by me, if you draw such broad conclusions about gmod pics not being good or funny, try visiting the screenshot section of this forum, there's a lot you can miss out on.
You are not funny.

Remember when Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network aired good shows? I remember watching Recess when I got home. 4:30PM would arrive, and there I would be, plopped in front of my chair, enjoying a good half hour block of entertainment. Cartoon Network would air the Cartoon Cartoon Countdown, Toonami, Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and Samurai Jack. Some of the best fucking shows on TV in that time, and all we have now is CG garbage, shit voice actors, and meaningless shows. The only thing I will watch on CN now, is old school Tom and Jerry, and [adult swim].
Sure our parents told us not to sit too close to the TV, but we were so engrossed in what those cartoons brought us into. A gripping story, comedy, or something we could all relate to as being a kid. I wouldn't trade my childhood for anything else in the world. We didn't have the fancy toys kids do these days. Remember when there was only one model of Power Wheels? When Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars were awesome? It's all nostalgia now. What we bought, watched, and did as kids shaped us to who we are today. Remember playing Sega, or SNES, or N64? Games like Sonic, Super Mario World 64, StarFox 64, Pokemon Fucking Snap, where you could walk into a Blockbuster video store and print out your pictures you took, or rent cartridges. And it's all gone now. Nothing's simple anymore. The more we grow up, the less simple things become.
When you were a kid, you never worried about war, or what countries were doing to each other. You were worried about getting to go play outside, having show and tell at school, learning to write you name in between the lines. Now, we're growing up. Wondering if we're going to be successful in order to pay the bills, get a nice car, or just even have a roof over our heads.
I miss that. I miss that time where nothing mattered.

This generation is going to have a damn hard time in adult life if they worship their childhoods so rabidly.
I mean, shit, I liked cartoons, but this is going a little overboard.
And FYI, those kids who never played anything older than an Xbox, and watched Hannah Montana and whatever's on Cartoon Network now, and see Justin Bieber as the voice of a generation are going to be on sites like this in about 5 years giving the same long-winded speeches about how their childhood is the greatest, and how they pity anyone born later than them, and how nobody else truly lived.
I'm not psychic, but I was born about 5 years earlier than the average Facepuncher
