you need to include the rest of the joke
For those who don't know, these are the most common names for children born in 2009. In the early 1990s the most popular boy's name in the UK was Ryan (1994-98) and for girls, Emma (1990-93 and 1996-97)♦
Ryan was apparently popular here in the states in the late 80's. There were 2 or 3 of us in pretty much every class I had when I was younger, so everyone just used our last initial. Didn't turn out well for me, Ryan O lead to lots of rhino jokes.
you need to include the girl he looks like or the joke is lost
Would that be classified as leaking GMF content? Sorry, just needed some emergency stuff.

His point is debatable, actually. You can't just disregard animals' unhappiness, but you can (and must) pit them agaisn't the benefits of their pelts/meat. pelts are used (correct em if I'm wrong) solely for aesthetics, which has no worth in itself.
And meat, well, that depends on how well one can live while as a vegetarian.
You also gotta factor over-population in.

This joke is overused.
We need an "unoriginal" rating.

We're at the top of the food chain for a reason.

There are good points on both sides, it's sad that the majority (or it could just be because idiots on both sides yell the loudest) always have to go to the farthest edge of their point instead of compromising. Humans have taken over the role as predators in a lot of animals lives, and with their natural predators out of the equation the herbi/omnivores breed uncontrolled. This is bad, because nature keeps a good balance between predators and herbi/omnivores, but when humans are in the equation the predators are usually staved off (they are after all usually dangerous to humans too) which means too many of one of the sides.
Unlike highlander, there can't be only one. There has to be two.

I'm not sure what your point is, but I'm guessing you're sayibng that using other animals to put our race on the top is justifiable. Well, I would be in the top of the social ladder if I killed everyone else, so that isn't really a valid point.
And to Dick: Over-population is only a problem when the happiness that the animal will feel and generate is inferior to the unhappiness the animal will generate and feel. In that case, you just do the logical choice and kill the animal that is generating less happiness.
And honestly, I have yet to meet a dumb vegetarian, the yalways seem to fundament their points well.

You're comparing the life of a human to that of an animal again. That really isn't a valid counterargument.
