You know what? We need some ethnicity that can be made fun of without insulting anybody - some ethnic group that has never really been discriminated against, is uncommon enough that few people are insulted, but is well-known enough that jokes can be made.
I propose either the Welsh or the Swedes for this. Mostly because Welsh is an inherently funny word (and there's many more such funny words in their language), and because Sweden has had it too easy - I've never heard an ethnic joke involving a Swedish person. Or Norway, for that matter. Actually, all of Scandinavia has had it rather easy.

Yes, but they're extremely uncommon where I'm from. I wouldn't be surprised if the Average American doesn't even know where Wales is. And all the jokes seem to revolve around sheep-fucking, for some reason. Not a very broad spectrum of humor.
