Its not my kind of thing, but im all for it. Body image is down to your own belief/personality, I cant change you for who you want to be Im a little annoyed at how its harder to find employment if you have some form of visible piercing or tattoo or whatever. I have a friend who only just managed to find a job after 3 years of unemployment. He has a few piercing and he dyes his hair (hes a bit of a punkish character) but hes the kindest, funniest person I know. I can see why employers would find body image over personality considering he/she is going to be working in the open with customers. But I find that the employer should also take personality into consideration heavily.
I don't really care as people are free to do as they please with their bodies, but the majority of piercings i've seen are either flamboyant and showy, or horribly grotesque and possibly even dangerous. Tongue piercings are the worst IMO, my sisters both had em for years and it fucked up their teeth.
Ear rings are alright as long as they're not stupid. I like belly button piercings on women, but then again it prevents me from licking their belly button (something I do to all my girlfriends).
I'm fine with most piercings, I planned on getting a labret once but I sort of lost interest. Too many piercings on one person just looks like clutter though.
I don't really care for them either way, just a tip though, don't get a ring piercing. Because some motherfucker will tie fishing cord to it while you're sleeping at some point.

They want their employees to have a clean, sharp, conservative look usually. But piercings and tattoos have a stigma attached to them which is anything but clean and conservative, since people see them as being worn by "bad" people, and people screaming for attention. It's often not true, but stereotypes don't just pop into existence for no reason. While you might have no issue with tattoos, the paying customer might be somewhat off-put that the person they're speaking too has a bit of metal in their tongue and a badass dragon on their arm. Though there are of course jobs where you don't really interact with customers where employers won't care as much, but the way you present yourself does say a bit about you in the minds of a lot of people.
I probably wouldn't get one myself, but I don't have any strong feelings about other people who have them. I hear from a lot of people who think it's DISGUSTING when people have them anywhere but their ears, but maybe that's just internet people. They would have to go extraordinarily far to put me off, like to the point of looking disfigured or something.
They can look nice in moderation, but I don't get the people with tons of metal dots all over their face. It's one thing to have snake bites, it's another to look like you're about to record some facial mo-cap. Also, gauges are weird once they get past like, 3/8ths of an inch.
Unless it's somewhere normal like your ear or something you'll probably look like a fucknut. Those ear stretchy things and snake bites and shit all look crap.
I wouldn't judge someone for having them but I personally think they look super ugly
I personally don't see myself ever getting a piercing but I don't mind them as long as the person doesn't go super extreme with them. I think they don't belong too well in a "suit" job though. That being said I absolutely hate those earlobe stretching things.
Love em, I'd get hella lot of them if my school allowed piercings
Ears are fine for both sexes, and I like lip, belly button, nose, etc. for girls specifically. Outside of that, it eventually gets unattractive, though.

I've never seen a good looking piercing that enhances someone's looks. I don't care if people get them, it's just that I don't like the way they look.
People who fret over them are dumb. A person isn't devalued by the amount of metal bits stuck to them. Get them if you want, it's not my body, as long as it doesn't get in the way of you doing your job it shouldn't matter. Attractiveness is subjective and people shouldn't try to say their beauty requirements are more valid than anyone else's.

But, whatever, if they're into it, that is their thing [t]http://www.gagful.com/uploads/2012_10/1351078736_How_Many_Piercings_Is_Too_Many_gag.jpg[/t][t]http://images.sodahead.com/polls/000280118/polls__Elaine_Davidson_most_pierced_0619_700346_poll_xlarge.jpeg[/t]

Don't really mind, depends where they are and who's wearing them
You can say you think it's incredibly unattractive, but I don't see any reason to damn someone as objectively ugly when it's just your opinion.
He said they're subjectively ugly.
I'm for them if they're minimal things like earrings, nose piercings and pretty much that. Beyond that is excessive. Just as I write this i'm planning to get an earring this week :v:
I like them, I have 7 in just my ears.
I'm pretty much all for people doing whatever they want with their bodies and stuff though I can't say I understand the appeal of them. It's also a moderation thing in my mind as well, so some piercings aren't bad. But too many of them and you look kind of silly I'm for them though simply cuz people have the right to do whatever thing they wanna do to themselves

I'll get behind that this is beyond excessive and if I had a friend who said they'd do something to this extent I'd of course let them, but I'd object first and tell them to think about it for a while.
Love all piercings, bar prince alberts and the ring through the nose. favourite piercing has to be the sternum though [editline]11th August 2014[/editline] as long as they dont over do it with a bajillion piercings on the cunt flaps or their face or whatever it's coo'
kawaii
I think they're OK like all things in moderation, it just looks stupid if people go overboard with them.
I think any form of permanent body modification is grossly unnecessary, but people should be allowed to do what they want with their bodies so it doesn't really bother me.
