I think in the pre-V MGS games, I was an elephant. but on V I'm an octopus.

2-3 hours ago I was at a friends place with her boyfriend and a friend of ours. A owned the place, B is the boyfriend of A, and C is someone I've developed feelings for which I've tried to suppress since I don't want any of that. so yeah, A's dog was licking C's face and I jokingly complained that A's dog never did that to me and that A's dog didn't love me, so I said I was really jealous. B has somehow noticed that I feel a little attracted to C, so he blurted out "who you jealous of, the dog or C?" and laughed. I got a little mindfucked and forgot which name to mention when you're jealous of someone. in my case, I was jealous of C since she got the dogs attention, but since I had no time to think I said "the dog, of course!". I didn't realize what I had just said in the moment so I made no attempt to salvage the awkwardness since I didn't feel awkward. now, hours later, I just realized I confessed what I've been trying to hide and get rid of. how do I recover from this, this is awkward
