How long do you see yourself staying active on Facepunch? - General

Sometimes I might come and go, I was inactive for a year or so but then I started posting again. I guess 2-6 years..

Probably for the next 5 or so years. Or I get perma'd.

Till the forum gets shut down Or I get perma'd Or I die

Episode 3 gets released under a new engine incompatible with source -> Garry stops updating Garrysmod -> Facepunch population decrease and main Facepunch Studios income diminished -> Garry shuts down facepunch, the end. But we all know Episode 3 will never be released, so we are safe. [editline]16th June 2012[/editline] For now.

FP is a good time waster when I'm bored. I can see myself coming here for the foreseeable future for now. I may post less the longer I'm here but there's always something interesting to read, at least in SH.

I will go to here until I die or it dies. Which ever first. This is the only forum I have ever joined and participated in. The community here is the most amazing on the internet and actually has a bit of intelligence to it compared to other places. Not to mention it has everything - games, art, news, debate, etc. Not many websites have the variety of places to interact along with a massive number of people participating in each. And the fact that the mod team is very strict, though at times annoying, is one of the most beneficial aspects of Facepunch in my opinion.

I will be here for awhile, but then again that is what I thought about Firecold (old forum that closed without warning, went to a server maintenance screen for ~3-4 years then the domain was sold) Btw if anyone on here remembers firecold please PM me [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDGwO6y1M_c[/url]

To be perfectly honest, I dont know. I've been on here now for three years and it seems like the place is constantly changing - which is good. Now, as im entering college I dont know if I'll have time to be on here, or the net at all. I defiantly want to be since you all are becoming a very bi-polar, dysfunctional family to me. After college is were I will probably stop. I am searching for a career in Law Enforcement and that requires a lot of time. Facepunch - Forever and always. Maybe.

Not for long. The lifestyles section was one of the main reasons I browsed this forum. Now that it's gone, slowly my frequency on this website has been decreasing. Then I started noticing how people here seemed so... similar to each other. At some point they became so predictable everything started to become boring. Then I stopped playing video games, only doing so very rarely. More than half of the forum lost its purpose at this point. This predictability became so annoying at a point I stopped browsing LMAO pics, and with that most of the time I used to spend here went into other things. I still browse facepunch daily, though I don't see this going much further - I still browse the Guitar Discussion, the TES megathread, KS megathread (that died not long ago), and eventual Fast Threads that catch my attention.

Then I discovered what is now the Sensationalist Headlines section and made a come back. Perhaps there's another section you don't frequent often but has great potential for you.

Hopefully not very much longer... I'm straying more and more away from the computer world.

Facepunch seems like a site that will remain active for a while thanks to it's large number of members so I see myself visiting it for few years. I hope Garry won't have to shut it down or something similar.

Until pban, then I'll probably end up getting a alt. So not until like, when I'm married?

The drama here is just too good, I will never grow tired of it.

For as long as I can, really. I enjoy reading stuff here, even if I don't post as much as many others.

Basically unless anything major happens that stops me from using it. If able, I'd like to go here for a long time.

Been here 6 years and haven't even CONSIDERED leaving, I think I've got a while yet.
