You can check out the video FlandersNed posted. They use different kinds of beer for each surface to see which one gives the "best" rusty look.

Every type of guy I've seen own a car with this kind of style has been a raging dick. The kind of guy who installs really loud horns and honks it at passing girls thinking it will make them wet when all hes doing is annoying every person in a 500 foot radius.

My experiences are that anyone driving a Golf Mk. II or III is a raging douche blasting techno or psytrance 24/7. It's a stereotype that seems to be quite common around the world.
It's a shame the Golf is stamped as being the douche-wagon number one. It's a neat hatchback.

Actually saw one as the NAIAS today, it's not awful. The headlights look nice irl but the hood still throws me. Standard quad pipes on the GT is dope tho. Also the front splitter looks good and the new dash stuff + active exhaust are definite plusses for me. Just a shame it looks like the nose melted
