I fell in love with the '97 Mitsubishi FTO GPX, so much in fact that it's my goal to import one for personal use later this year.
Looks pretty good bone stock, and the green color complements nicely with my Montero Sport (I think it's the same shade of green actually).

Are you for real? We weren't shopping for the GL but after sitting in just about every compact SUV under the sun, I can confidently say that the GLC was the most solidly-constructed by a [i]very[/i] wide margin. We were going to buy a used 2013 GLK but the price was ridiculous (although it sold immediately after we turned it down). Test drove a CX-5 (brakes failed mid-test), CR-V (super-sized Prius, which is junk), RAV4 (much chintzier than my 2006 Highlander, a huge disappointment), Escape (lmao, what a waste of time), and the GLC won out. Granted, the GLC is the odd one out because it's luxury-class. I didn't get to test an X3 or a Q5 or anything but I seriously doubt the GLC is going to be junk compared to them.
The infotainment system blows big-time though.
It's a 2013 GL450. Poorly built, underpowered, uncomfortable, overly bulky, and the list goes on.
Plus, the power steering takes too much away from steering, and feels like total ass.

I'll grant you that the old GLs were pretty unreliable. But 362hp is well within the range of 300-400hp common in standard luxury large SUVs (Escalade, Lincoln, Lexus, Land Cruiser, etc.) and I wouldn't really call it "underpowered".
I am a big fat fuck and I have never set in an uncomfortable Mercedes SUV, but alright.
You're asking for a large luxury SUV to be not bulky, and to have sporty steering.

This is actually a rumor. A single news article referred to it as an eclipse, but promptly took down their article, and the automotive journalists exploded. Mitsubishi has never once said it was an Eclipse.
It's still a possibility, but the name is purely speculation at best. I doubt Mitsubishi would be that stupid.

thats not an eclipse.
Mitsubishi isn't doing well financially, and while the evo was a popular model among tuners, it wasn't as popular as SUVs, hybrids, and the like in the grand scheme of the automotive market, and they simply couldn't afford to keep manufacturing them. Same with the Eclipse. I have no doubt that Mitsu will bring back the Evo at some point in the future, especially now with the nissan buyout, but it's not like they sat down one day and said "we hate fun lets tarnish our legacy lol"
I just can't buy that mitsu would "revive" the eclipse name as a CUV. No manufacturer is that dumb.
