[t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/dFR_p5uYRZk/maxresdefault.jpg[/t] The essence of America.
They're just too big imo. Sizes like the A3 sportback, I can get into easily, but A4 Avant sizes (which is the usual station wagon size) and imo it gets too big. Which its a shame because I can't find a damn A4 sedan with low mileage.
[t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/dFR_p5uYRZk/maxresdefault.jpg[/t] The essence of America.
There's something that I've noticed about American cars; generally, they actually have the right ingredients to make them look really, really nice. Like that car? It has fabulous lines and looks mean as hell. Probably has a mean as hell, torquey V8 under the bonnet too. But then there's always something that ruins the car. For me, it has to be the idiotic wooden panel on the side, which is probably fake wood (eg fibreglass) anyways. And then the front looks too flat and uninspiring. Holden had a similar problem here in the 70's I reckon. But worst of all, it's not an AU mate
With some modern design that could be pretty cool
It's like a '90's Camaro and a modern Charger had some angry hate sex. :v: I actually kinda like it and agree with you. In some respects, it kinda has the lines and styling of a modern Corvette, too.
i love the little seats they decided to plug into the back with those weird joystick things you grip on, such an odd truck
That's so they could sell it as a 'car' It's to get around the Chicken Tax, a hefty sales tax on foreign-made light utility vehicles. So they bolted on some seats into the back to turn the pickup truck bed into leg room. Ford did another equally silly thing to get around it when bringing in the Transit Connect, which IIRC are made in Turkey. In Turkey they'd install seats into the back, import it to the US as a 'car', then toss the seats into a shredder and sell it as a light utility vehicle.
i love the little seats they decided to plug into the back with those weird joystick things you grip on, such an odd truck
that somehow looks more sketchy than just normally riding in a truck bed

All the throwbacks look too round and "safe" if I can call it that. Not that they are too safe in protecting the driver, but the lines aren't as aggressive as before and the front looks derpy. I would almost say that the cars lack personality in the US market.

New ""Eclipse"" is such an ugly piece of shit, hell the Aztek actually looks much better since it got that sincere late '90s look.
I've driven an aztek, the bar across the back sucks. Like seriously, when will auto companies learn that putting a big ass bar that blocks your rearview mirror is fucking terrible.
I've driven an aztek, the bar across the back sucks. It absolutely destroys rear visibility and makes backup cameras practically mandatory.
theres nothing more sad then driving through the only town with more than 100 people in it in the middle of nowhere and seeing a family owned sed car lot with 4 azteks in it.
