It was a prototype for a sort of uber high end coach built car line from the late 30's. Sorta like morgan or maybach is today, basically.
never went into production but goddamn, people remember it for a reason. Also, it was built on the Cord base, pleasingly enough.
I always liked the look of the second gen Scion tC, IMO it was the only decent Scion exclusive (the xA, xB, and xD were essentially boring econoboxes).
Here's one I test drove last friday which I liked. I'm leaning towards a 2002 Lexus IS300 that is 2k cheaper ($3,800) though, seems like a better deal overall (this Scion is for sale at $5,400).

Plus Supra engine, very cool.
Plus Supra engine, very cool.
Cool, but not very fast. Non turbo Supra's get from 0-100kmh in 7 seconds. For a sports car that's nothing. It's a bit faster than a Toyota Tacoma though. Now the turbo Supra, that's where the fun is. It goes from 0-100kmh in 4.5 seconds, which is pretty fast for a sports car, especially in the 90's.
After reading on this, I realized the the IS-200 doesn't even have the Supra's 2JZ-GTE or the IS-300's 2JZ-GE, but a 160 hp 1G-FE.
That's not to say the IS-200 isn't a nice car though. The engineers that build it were led by the same person that was responsible for the AE86. That alone should be enough to convince most people it's good.

That Jag looks insane. I can see hints of Bentley, Maserati and even Alfa in that. What a car.
Edit:
As for the thing about the 7 series, I just can't like it. It looks like someone literally just stretched out a 5 series, without any consideration for proportions. It almost looks American.
One of my favourite long-wheelbase cars is the Holden Caprice/HSV Grange. Other Australians would know how ironic that is, considering my display picture. But the WN/Gen-F series are fine looking cars to me:

The wheels and American-style police decals ruin it. But the chev badge especially ruins it.
Just out of curiosity, have you ever noticed Pontiac GTOs, Pontiac G8s or Chevrolet SS over there in America re-badged with a Holden or HSV badge? Because there's this really odd phenomenon here of people buying Holden Commodores, that are designed and built here in Australia, but then they go and replace the Holden badges with Chev badges. It's absolutely idiotic because there's nothing 'Chevrolet' about the car except for a GM engine, and people who buy Commodores tend to claim that they are very patriotic. But then they replace an Australian badge with an American one?
Like at least if you saw one of those three cars over in America re-badged with a Holden badge, it would actually make sense, because all of them were built here. Pontiac GTO is a rebadged Holden Monaro, G8 is a VE Commodore, and SS is a VF Commodore. But it doesn't make sense that some Australians are putting Chev badges on their cars here.

Like for god's sake, I saw a brand spanking new Holden VF Commodore SS-V at a Holden dealership here which already had a Chev badge on it! It's ridiculous!

I'm not super into car culture or anything but I can't recall ever seeing a Holden badge on the roads here.
Are you sure it's not that they're just buying Chevy-branded ones before they get shipped to the US?
Although I do know that the SS is a monumental flop in the US so Chevy could just be siphoning off their inventory into Australian Holden dealerships so they don't have to waste money shipping them here and storing them.

The cars exported to America are built specifically for the American market. Don't forget that we drive on the left, and you drive on the right. We have a different model range here as well.
People here must seem to think that a Chev badge adds 50 horsepower or something like that.

Haven't seen it with an HSV badge but I have seen a Holden branded ex-cop Caprice. This is more common here to convert one badge engineered car to another, E.G. Ford Expedition to Lincoln Navigator, or Chevy Suburban/Tahoe to Cadillac Escalade, or even just a Toyota Camry into a Lexus ES. Of course these are far rarer on modern badge engineered cars, since the body paneling is far more distinct between brands than it used to be.
The caprice is junk as a cop car. It's too small inside, too big outside, difficult to service, too fragile, and has too small of a trunk.
