I really like the Alfa Mito, and it does seem to be a pretty reliable car, for what its supposed to be (hurr durr 2 times in life, when you buy the alfa, and when you finally sell the damn thing) but....

My love for the stylish yet somewhat boring in comparison A3 just never ceases to pull me to it. Plus the interior is miles better. Only downside is that I'd have to pay a pretty penny for a good one, with a good ammount of extras, and a good engine that A- has the right cylinder head that doesn't cracks and B- the right oil pump that doesn't ceases to work because it felt like being complicated and break itself
plus, I have no idea what the seating position is like in the Mito. If the 8P's position is the same as in my 8L, then I'm sure I'll love it.

The new Giulietta Veloce is my realistic dream car at the moment. Sure, I've heard that visibility is poor, it's not spacious, and the ride will probably break your back. [i]But it's an Alfa[/i]; it looks great, seems like a blast to drive and it has the 4C's engine, so it gets up and goes and sounds incredible while doing so. I'd have mine in Silverstone Grey with the standard wheels. Exactly like this one:

I love how the door handle is in the door frame, and the design is amazing.
This is a good choice aswell that I should consider saving for. Maybe either this or the MiTo, and maybe ditch the germans for some stylish italian flare. Plus, they seem pretty good nowadays.

Well it wouldn't be an Alfa if there weren't a few things wrong with it. I'd still buy one in a heartbeat though.
I can't wait till I can graduate from uni next year. Graduate jobs in my field start at $60k; I could easily afford the finance for one of those bad boys.
Alfa's are great and will last a lifetime. Until the warranty runs out.

I don't know, I've been looking around, and it seems to be much better actually. At least there aren't many reports of break downs for MiTos for example.

I've caught myself going onto Jag's website and building an F-TYPE convertible again. I'll never ever own one, but if I won the lottery, I would immediately buy one. I'd have mine with the 280kW V6 (can't get the wheels I want with the 250kW option), the R-Dynamic package, Black pack, traditional RWD and British Racing Green. Exactly like this:

Thats because they use inferior materials that are prone to breaking or malfunctioning. Things just don't feel the same way a german car would feel, which problems are being over engineered.
Take the early 2.0 tdi engine. Shoddy materials meant the cylinder head would crack for sure in the earlieat engines, and only be corrected from late 06 onwards, and the oil pump was a disaster, until corrected after 06 aswell, all because it just HAD to be complicated...
Bmw is the same. Swirl flaps and timing chains to fuck your wallet up.

You can actually order a Chevy SS with Holden badges from the factory, its an option on the configurator on Chevy's website. I've seen an SS with Holden badges in the states and a few SS's with some sort of Holden homage vanity plates.

It's ironic. Australian buyers of Commodores can't stand the Holden badge so they replace it with a Chev badge, but then American buyers of the Chev SS replace the Chev badge with a Holden badge.
At least those Americans are actually being honest if not proud of the place of origin of the car. There's no logical explanation for why Australian buyers put Chev badges on their Holdens: the platform was designed by Holden, the car was designed by Holden, the car was built by Holden, and the engine is a GM engine rather than necessarily being a Chev engine. I found a neat old van in the woods today, and oddly enough, my google-fu can't figure out what sort of van body is on this ford truck, it's certainly not the classic "panel van" of the time.
Not that it matters, this thing is probably beyond saving :surrender:
Cars left to rot in places like that give me mixed feelings. On one hand I love seeing how nature slowly overtakes it, but on the other I absolutely hate how those pieces of history are just going to waste there.

The proportions sort of look wrong on both the 3 and 5 door; the bonnet is too long, but then again it has to be if they were going to longitudinally mount an inline 6 in there. They should have had a shorter bonnet, had an inline 4 be the largest engine on offer, and called it a day.
The M-Sport and M models look sort of alright, but their other trims like the urban line just look wrong; they look like they were engineered by shortening other BMW models, rather than designing them purposefully for that kind of hatchback.
The 1 series is cool for being a front-engined, rear-wheel drive hatch which can even have an inline 6 under the bonnet, but I can't look at one and think that I'd like to own it.
