It's important to not forget that Alfas also sound absolutely marvellous as well. I don't know how the DTM-spec variants compare, but this hillclimb 155 has the best sounding V6 ever made. The only V6 that comes close is the Jag F-Type V6

My dad had a Saab 900 in his workshop yesterday and fuck it was the most beautiful car I've seen ever.
It looked like it was brand new, completely clean and spotless, and was a nice shiny black.
I should've taken pictures because it was perfect.

While they look fine in a few places, just like BF said, safety regulations but worser even, reliability issues and aerodynamics bother me.
Shhh. Safety is secondary to aesthetics!

My problem with this car is that its overpriced as fuck even when used because its a BMW, it isn't very pretty although it gets better with the M bumpers and such, and its riddled with engine problems and silly overcomplicated engineering. Not to mention that the worst kind of people buy them because of brand recognition and to look rich, but that doesn't really matters here, since many people do the same with other cars.
It IS however something I'd like to at the very least try. The hatchback looks better than the coupe aswell imo. A bit more humble.

OH right, here in Portugal, you'll have to pay a bit more for one.
Cheapest one I can find in a few seconds is 8000 euros, and its the 116i.
I remember seeing one for the same price with a completely messed up interior, telling people to fuck off with lower offers because the price was already low enough :v:

Well you see, when the headlights are down, it's as if the front-end is missing something. But as soon as they pop up, they completely ruin the lines of the car. Every single time.

Whereas the Jag's pop down, so they don't ruin the appearance.
The Benelli Sei is somehow both incredibly cool and somewhat ugly, depending on how you look at it.
You look at it from the side and oh yeah, it's a pretty cool standard retro bike, handsome understated design

But then you look at it from the front and

I honestly prefer the NSX with the updated fixed headlights.
It looks too old with popups, and it instantly looks new with the fixed ones.
But imo, the NA miata has the worst popups ever. They are way too tall, and they're fucking ROUND.
They look disproportionate from the car.
I only just learned of the Mitsubishi Debonair, and the first generation in particular. Like this:
[t]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lwrd8Ma3qkQ/TlOi4CJfICI/AAAAAAAAAJE/IsdH9k-mMfU/s1600/Mitsubishi+Debonair+First+Generation.jpg[/t]
I think it actually looks quite nice; it's very clean. I was going to say that it looked like a period Ford Falcon, except the Falcon that looks closest to it (XR series) was launched two years later. Almost unheard of, in the 20th century, for a non-Japanese maker to copy a Japanese car! Usually it's the other way around!

Dumb weebs have made me despise the AE86, especially when it has that fucking initial D livery.
Dumb weebs have made me despise the AE86, especially when it has that fucking initial D livery.
Kinda related but this probably applies for most sporty Japanese imports in general. Eg I went looking for a Skyline 350GT a few years ago, but half of them were distastefully modded, and the other half had significant wear and tear. And as of recent, one of my mates has been looking at FD RX-7s, but every single one he has found has been riced to shit. AND they're asking for an arm and a leg for it. Same goes for Silvias (you will never find a clean one ever again) and turbocharged Skylines.
People who are going to fuck up cars with their 'DURR STANCE' should just stick to fucking Commodores.
If you want a Japanese import that isn't thrashed / riced, your best best is just importing one yourself
Dumb weebs have made me despise the AE86, especially when it has that fucking initial D livery.
I'm gonna be honest, I think Initial D gets more hate than it deserves
I know you're talking about the most obnoxious fans, and I'll admit there's tons of people who think drifting is somehow faster than keeping your grip during a corner - and if it isn't, "well that's because you're not driving as well as Takumi!!"
But man, when I look at other car-centric media that tries to make car culture and mainstream appeal overlap, I start to think Initial D is a fucking godsend. Shit like Fast & Furious or Wangan Midnight is basically "I am a good guy and I am fast, I will beat the bad guy who is also fast". By comparison, the way Initial D manages to work racing lines, driving styles and engine/suspension/drivetrain specs into the conflicts within the story is worthy of praise, IMO

Most of the races in Initial D aren't won because "le 86 is fastest", but because of Takumi's luck. While it idolizes the 86, it doesn't say the 86 is fast or the best car.

Initial D is a great show, but is absolutely the only reason that prices of 86 Corollas are ludicrously high right now, an otherwise bland and even somewhat ugly car.

I just saw this mesmerising picture of the homologation Panoz Esperante. Usually I don't like cars which look too aggressive, because 9 times out of 10 they look like they try too hard - and I just don't like cars which show off too much anyways. But this, it embraces the aggressiveness; it's maddening. What a fuckin car.
