Just listen to it: As a plus, both the Audi RS3 sportback and the sedan have the same engine, so more practicality IMO. Here's something related to the second word in the thread title. I was browsing Facebook and I was shown an ad for this: [t]https://carsales.pxcrush.net/carsales/car/dealer/cd5321395171185588188.jpg?pxc_method=fit&pxc_size=1197%2c798[/t] [t]https://carsales.pxcrush.net/carsales/car/dealer/cd5301568932113233224.jpg?pxc_method=fit&pxc_size=1197%2c798[/t] And it costs $250,000.... What the fuck? Why does this car exist? Why would anyone want something like this? Why does it have racing stripes? Anyone who actually has that kind of money to waste is never going to load anything in the tray, and they are never going to take it off-road. It will spend its entire life sitting in a driveway, probably because it's too big to fit in a garage. That front fascia is hideous, the wheels are gaudy, and the car is just absurdly large. It doesn't even have the right engine; why would they put a petrol engine in a utility vehicle that big? What's wrong with a turbodiesel Hilux? What is the point of a hatchback that can go as fast as a current-production Lamborghini? Sporty cars these days just seem unnecessarily powerful. And tbh I'm a little bit disgusted that my realistic dream car, the Alfa Giulietta Veloce, has a launch control mode. Why does launch control exist?
And it costs $250,000.... What the fuck? Why does this car exist?
Cus Shelby. People pay bullshit money for bullshit tuned vehicles with iconic badges on it that no longer relate to the original reasoning behind said badges, also FERD SHELBI PURFERMENCE PERTS.
I think the modern American pickup trucks are the epitome of 'trying too hard', but the older ones are some of the most visually pleasing vehicles I can think of. Where did it all go so wrong? [t]https://i.imgur.com/OWhD3sB.png[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/RDoEQCa.png[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/6dKDybH.png[/t] Also, it's a shame that the two-door american SUV concept has sort of died off. They don't make the two-door Blazers or Broncos anymore. Though with the way the modern pickups look, maybe that's for the best. [t]https://i.imgur.com/Rh9grMX.png[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/3PAVh9t.png[/t]
Basically. I know the 'crossover' exists and probably technically fulfills the 'two door SUV' category that the Bronco and Blazer did, but let's be honest. You wouldn't use 90% of modern 'SUVs' on the market for anything involving actual work, carrying loads or even just going off-road.

The truck itself looks good, but they kind of ruined it by lowering it. I dislike the practice of lowering cars in general, but lowering practical vehicles like pickup trucks or SUVs strikes me as the absolute dumbest thing you could do to a car.
What used to be a reliable work-horse of a vehicle has now become a fashion-statement to help fuel peoples fragile masculinity and ego.
Ionno, Pickups still have their use, but their usability underwent a dramatic shift, too. Earlier, pickups were considered work vehicles, so most owners would typically use it strictly for utility and have a car for everything else. But that gradually changed into being able to use a pickup for everyday use, which includes non-utilitarian use where creature comforts started to become a consumer demand. Since a lot of these vehicles were powered along SUV lines, the creature comforts started to bend towards that platform until we reached where we are now - it's not a car with a flatbed, it's an SUV with a flatbed. As far as pickups go, nothing will ever beat two quintessential designs for me. The Slice of Americana: (I like this more than the Ford F100 from the fifties) and the '80's Toyota Hilux. It might be surprising, but the sheer simplicity of this vehicle's original design is what I love the most. It's not hideous, it's not pretty, but it's very appealing in its own way: [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ab/1984_Toyota_HiLux_%28YN55R%29_2-door_utility_%282015-06-15%29_01.jpg[/t] As far as Group B cars is concerned, my personal favorite that ranks high on the adorable-ness factor goes is the Peugeot T16: [t]https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/news/group-b-rally-monsters-return-to-donington-29345_1.jpg[/t] Look at its itty bitty wheels! squee :cat:

If you then slam it, you remove any carrying capacity because any load will just bottom out the suspension and put the car on the floor. What's the point in doing that to a pickup truck or an ute? If it's just 'to look cool', then that's stupid. Do it to another car where slamming it won't render it useless.

There was also the F-150 SVT Lighting and the Ram SRT 10 with the Viper's engine. They were sorta subtle and not so much in your face compared to today's performance trucks. Replaced instead with lifted over-styled monstrosities with stupid ass short beds.

Some tradies might use a Holden Ute as a workhorse eg my old neighbour with an SV6 which he uses for his gardening business. But most will go for something like a Triton or Hilux for the higher ride height, 4WD, lockable diffs and turbodiesel engine. Hell, even Ford Falcon Utes are more-practical because some had a lockable diff and/or a cab-chassis.

My second choice is Rosso Alfa (pastel red), as it is quintessentially Alfa and it also hides the embarrassing 'boy racer' red inserts which feature on the Veloce model. However, the paint is a bit too flat, and it makes it hard to distinguish the beautiful tail lights from the beautiful body (see below): [t]https://carsales.pxcrush.net/carsales/car/dealer/cd5209285684817308400.jpg?pxc_method=fit&pxc_size=1197%2c798[/t] [t]https://carsales.pxcrush.net/carsales/car/dealer/cd5642192059264836627.jpg?pxc_method=fit&pxc_size=1197%2c798[/t] Then there's Alfa Black, which looks properly mean, and is the only other colour which works well with the red inserts. I don't really mind the white. Its rare around here in a GT and it doesn't looks too bad. I mean, its either that, or black which is good enough and well, perfect, or red but that is really rare and I quite don't like bright red, or this light shade of grey that looks like absolute ARSE. It reminds me of a german car in its most standard base model with how dull it looks. If I had to pick a color, would be either the blue the new mitos have, or that fiery shade of red that mitos also have. Reminds me of volcano orange or red or whatever it is used in McLaren, looks amazing.

Help meeeeee
Honestly, it depends on one key question - do you intend to dispose of this at some point, or is this a lifer vehicle for you (You're going to run it to the ground)? Personally, if it was a lifer I'd either get it repainted in the original desired color, splurging a little bit at a good paintshop. I'm pretty certain the color you chose is the best possible color for the car and is likely the desired color for any other Alfa enthusiast as well. Spending that money to get what you want could be worth it and even if you decide to sell it, as long as you're upfront about it, I'm pretty certain another Alfa buyer (let's be honest, people who buy used Alfa's are likely fans themselves, nobody goes hunting for them if they weren't in the face of other used car options) wouldn't mind at all (as long as you don't try to bump the price up just using the aftermarket respray paint as a USP) Alternatively, fit a black/chrome/whatever insert that's after market when you purchase it in the color you want, keeping the originals safe until it's selling time, in which case refix them and put them up, sell the older one for a little bit of money. In this day and age, with tech and customization options being so advanced, I see no reason compromising for a purchase if you know exactly what you want.
So, I just got back from a test drive of one of the cars I'm thinking about buying - a used 2015 Mazda3 GT. I have to say, I'm sold. I've tried all the competitors, but they feel like absolute turds compared to this thing and I was honestly fully ready to poop on this car. Holy shit Mazda brought their A-Game recently. Handling was fucking amazing, felt good around the corners, the features were good, the driver seat was pretty nice. I'm still kinda floored, to be honest. Not to mention she's quite a looker, too: [t]https://mgreviewsblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/2015-mazda-3-sedan-2.jpg[/t] Easily the prettiest looking car in its segment, hands down. My dad was laughing his ass off because his first car was also a Mazda 929: [t]https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d9/b2/89/d9b2896eef3e98e82ce046207021ea96.jpg[/t] so he sees it as the wheel coming full circle. Seriously though, go do a test ride in one if you can. Fucking unbelievable. On a somewhat related note, I'm a bit concerned about the ever growing blackhole of a grille on their concept models. First it was a nice smiley maw, then to the one above and now it appears to be heading this way courtesy the Kai concept: [t]https://images.hgmsites.net/hug/mazda-kai-concept-2017-tokyo-motor-show_100630262_h.jpg[/t] Eventually the car is just entirely one black hole of a grill in the front. Still, very handsome surprisingly. I don't know who Mazda has poached and from whom, but they're doing shit right.

It would cost around $10,000 to do, for something that is relatively minor. I’d be happy to have a Giulietta in any colour; even white. Not going to bother changing the inserts either unless that can be specially requested. Part of the reason of me wanting a new car is not having to be stressed out about anything car-related for quite a while.
I sat inside a 147 today. I am totally getting a GT now. The dash is pretty high, thought it would be lower, and the quality isn't amazing, but it isn't bad either. It's just a little more plastic look than more premium brands, but its still nice. I thought I wouldn't like its design, but it looks ok. Not fantastic, but not bad at all. The rest looks cool aswell. Steering wheel looked a lot bigger in pictures, but it really isn't. Average size I guess, and its very thin in the center. Feels sporty. The whole feel of the car, with the seat as low as possible is exactly what I'm looking for, and seeing how the GT is even lower, even better.

It's for rednecks who listen to rap music and want to enhance their "bling" collection.

[t]https://i.imgur.com/ClPt2jI.png[/t] This is the real thing. We'll probably have to wait a while longer before we know what it actually looks like under the wraps.
Someone in my area has a white Peugeot RCZ. While I’d never consider getting one, I think the RCZ is cool because it was a return-to-form for Peugeot. Only a few dozen were exported to Australia. The below one is literally the only RCZ R currently up for sale: [t]https://carsales.pxcrush.net/carsales/car/private/uwd6jcs0desqf89b3haba.jpg?pxc_method=fit&pxc_size=1197%2c798[/t] [t]https://carsales.pxcrush.net/carsales/car/private/umwcypaispgsm8vtq3gmw.jpg?pxc_method=fit&pxc_size=1197%2c798[/t] [editline]10th February 2018[/editline]
Well the Bronco is coming back in 2020,so you're in luck.
tbh I don’t understand the point of a 2-door SUV, so I can see why it died. If you absolutely had to have one, you might as well just get a 2-door utility, and put a hard canopy over the tray. Then when you want to maximise the amount of shit you can put in the tray, you can take the canopy off. Speaking of which, [t]http://performancedrive.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/2015-Holden-Sandman-ute.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.amcat.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/IMG_1444A-1.jpg[/t] SANDMAN
