Haha. My brother has a 205. It’s not a GTi, but it has been styled as a GTi (eg with GTi stickers). Goes pretty good actually; a few months ago we took it up a twisty country road, and the way he drove it I swore that we were going to die in a crash.
Speaking of Peugeots, here’s the new 508. I like it; especially the taillights.

Minus the teardrop the front looks disturbingly similar to a Kia Optima and the rear looks like a futuristic version of the older Sentras :v:
My biggest problem with Peugeot is specifically that they build nice meanie looking cars and then stick it with the motoring equivalent of a pencil sharpener for an engine. It's really disappointing to drive in a car like that.

Group B was insanity but the reason I don't count it as the golden age was because I consider it the Genesis of what rally as a sport is today. Everything before that was exciting but no where frantic like the Group B rallies were. It has its own special place in my heart.

Friend drives a Golf MK2 with a 1.3l engine. And he drives like a fucking madman. not reccomend.
I mean, 140km/h snapchat videos in a ~1000kg car are scary to look at. They are so light and spooky at high speeds, they almost fly and you lose the feel of the road completely. I wouldn't trust it.
Also, he has been talking about a VR6 swap for 2 years now, waiting to see that happen.

I still think my favorite looking rally car is the Renault Alpine A110. It just has those swooping lines like 60-70's sports cars, but on a car made for rally.

Yeah what happened to them is really sad, they have a strong brand name to work with yet the only thing they produce now is an econobox and they only sell it nationally. Shadow of their former selves like a lot of companies from that time.
I'd love a Lancia Integrale even if they had mechanical issues. Although I don't know if the civilian models had them at all.

Speaking of Alpines just reminded me : who remembers the baller BMW Alpina's? For a person who likes spotting weird cars, I've only ever seen a BMW Alpina once in my life. They're truly a very fascinating, ongoing, quirk of BMW that nobody seems to talk about.

Very interesting, rare cars. I'm kinda hoping Doug manages to find someone who'll let him take a look at it so I can see it a bit better close up.

Point is they probably shouldn’t have made a 5 door version. I can’t think of a reason why someone would want such a small car, then option it with 5 doors. A Polo 5 door isn’t that much larger, but would make a hell of a difference for rear seat passengers.

The frontside and overall silhouette look pretty solid and reminiscent of the original but the back (especially the tails) is so uninspired and derivative which is a shame considering how iconic the original Supra's rear end was.

I agree about that Land Cruiser. It just looks gaudy, kinda faux-luxurious. And also over-designed. That describes most Japanese cars, really.
