On the topic of wedges, does the Miura count? It's sexy af either way

Conceptually interesting. But the design is unappealing to me. I think it's got that 'weak sci fi theme' look that i hate in games.
I for one am a fan of 80's wedges.
do you drift the hachi??
Nah, it's my summer daily. I've still gotta pop a limited slip in, too. Thinking a TRD one. I wanna get another to use for drifting at some point in the future. Blast of a car to drive though, even normally. You can rev the shit out of it and it'll just want to keep going. Honestly, I've never regretted the purchase. Best of all, I can do just about all the work myself, even tearing the transmission apart. Man, I'm starting to really miss driving it because it's away for the winter right now.

[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32814946/1964-Chrysler-Turbine-front-three-quarter.jpg[/t] The Chrysler Turbine car. When they made this car, they intended to be the next step in the automotive industry, so instead of making it all goofy and shit like a concept car, Chrysler (possibly along with Ghia) designed the car to be the same as any other 60s car, with the exception of Jet styling like the (faux) intake headlights, turbine wheel caps and propelling nozzle rear lights. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32814946/6494c3025cdcb7eda9fff0256aed6817.jpg[/t] 55 of them were built, and instead of having it undergo excessive in house testing which (in the end of the day) does not represent real world use and conditions, Chrysler gave out 50 of these cars to the public where if chosen you get to use the car for 3 months and all you have to do is fill up a logbook after every drive. A dedicated team was also available ready to go straight to you should any issues arise. Despite the crazy sounding concept, the car actually worked. It was mechanically reliable, ran on anything combustible (almost) and performance was on par with a V8 of the same era. However the car has its disadvantages, it was expensive, costs 3x more than a piston car with similar performance It's not economical, and the biggest problem was the fact that you can't fuel this car with the most widely available fuel at the time, which was leaded gasoline. People who drove this car would have to fill it up with diesel and diesel back then is not the same as the euro5 diesel you get today, it stinks and you get shittons of NOx emission.
Don't forget the biggest issue of all, it was loud.
Obligatory Supra I get a massive hard-on for that spoiler. I wish I could slap it on my Eclipse, but I've just got the wanna-be version made for my car instead.

Just a few of the best of classic Australian Touring Car Championship racers Jaguar XJ-S V12. Tom Walkinshaw brought a few over in 1985 to compete unde the new Group A regulations in the ATCC. It was one of the first cars to hit 300km/h at Bathurst. [t]https://www.sparesboxblog.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/our-twr-xjs-back-at-bathurst-in-2011-celebrating-25-years-since-its-historic-win-in-the-bathurst-1000.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.motorsportretro.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/goss85.jpg[/t] Moffat's '78 Ford Falcon Cobra. It was shit against the lighter Holden Torana SS A9X, but it had a very memorable livery. The road-going Ford Falcon Cobra was also the last hardtop Falcon ever made. [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e1/Ford_Falcon_XC_Cobra_Moffat_(15222409972).jpg[/t] [t]http://cobra.jfpresentations.com/images/amc/cobra_2.jpg[/t] Moffat's 80's RX-7. Moffat, a long-time Ford driver, committed a cardinal sin among Ford enthusiasts when he ditched the V8 Falcons at the start of the 80's. [t]https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4025/4486936606_a16e2b8b4f_z.jpg[/t] Geoghegan's XY Super Falcon. Most non-Australians probably think of hardtop coupes when they think of the Australian Ford Falcon. But the Falcon has always been about sedans here. [t]http://www.bowdensown.com.au/assets/imported/sites/default/files/Bathurst%2072%20HO.jpg[/t] [t]http://m4.i.pbase.com/g9/80/280480/2/161024554.EJrIKYGi.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.bowdensown.com.au/assets/webshop/cms/21/721.jpg[/t] Brock's Holden VB (I think) Commodore. It's ironic to think that one of the most-treasured Australian icons, the Commodore, started as merely a facelifted Opel. The link to GM in Europe continued even through to the 90's, where cars such as the Lotus Carlton shared mostly the same platform as the Holden Commodore, and the Carlton actually borrowed its differential from a V8 Commodore. [t]http://www.v8scglobal.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Peter-Brock-Commodore-1980.jpg[/t] Finally, Richards' Skyline GT-R. The car that not only destroyed the V8 Commodores and even the invincible Sierra Cosworth, but just destroyed Group A as a formula. This was also the car that led to Richards calling the crowd at Bathurst a 'pack of assholes': [t]http://www.themotorreport.com.au/content/image/g/r/group_a_bathurst_winning_nissan_skyline_gt_r_02-0530-600x279.jpg[/t] [t]http://cdn-4.motorsport.com/static/img/mgl/4200000/4290000/4297000/4297100/4297184/s8/v8supercars-rick-kelly-drives-1992-nissan-gtr-2015-jim-richards-and-mark-skaife-1992-bathu.jpg[/t] That's only a fraction of the cars that raced. Of course there's all the other Ford Falcons and Holdens, as well as Mustangs, Camaros, Nissan Bluebird Turbos, Volvo 240 Turbos, BMW 635 CSis and M3s, Toyota Supras, Mitsubishi Starions, and many more.

Karmann-Ghia is great: (I know that it's just a Beetle with different body, but still) Also I have a soft spot for this thing:
[t]http://www.hummerlimomiami.com/images/header-tiger-limo.png[/t] If I somehow became famous or rich, I'd wanna be chauffeured around in a Hummerzine because of how ridiculous they are. They're so goddamn hideous but apparently that's what people wanna drive nowadays.

The one thing that I cannot stand about Jeeps is the ones that have the 'stitched lips' grille. Oh and that Jeeps are cars for people who don't really like cars but they just want to flaunt their wealth.
The one thing that I cannot stand about Jeeps is the ones that have the 'stitched lips' grille. Oh and that Jeeps are cars for people who don't really like cars but they just want to flaunt their wealth.
I mean literally all jeeps have that, dont they? It's like their signature thing. its even in their logo :v: [t]http://cdn.pinthiscars.com/images/jeep-grill-logo-wallpaper-5.jpg[/t] [editline]12th December 2016[/editline] And I'm not sure how it is over there, but over here in the states Jeeps, especially the older ones and the newer Wrangers, are pretty popular common-man's mudding vehicles.
