current z4 is such a looker compared to the previous one, but i'm going to miss the m model
The reason they're so cheap is that they often burn through an engine in under 80k miles. RX-8s and Wankels are cool as fuck but I wouldn't own one unless I had money to burn on gas, oil, and apex seals.
That only really counts for the RX-8's from 2004-2006. They had a lot of engine troubles, but luckily they fixed it.

It is a car that screams compromise and indifference. But they're doing something right because look at the sales numbers. Best in class. The old folks and families love them. That is a very easy market to cater to, no need for expensive materials or good performance, just whip up a refresh from time to time and they'll keep buying just because their current car is trashed and they have money.
The RX-8 is a fine automobile, there's one listed for 10 grand with manual transmission. Kinda want it.

My favourite thing about it is the unconventional four-door design. Didn't even realise the RX-8 had it until a few years ago:

I'm surprised that more coupés haven't been tried with that kind of design. Eg I can see it working well with the R33 and R34 Skylines.

It's still a good looking car imo.
I'm very sad that we didn't get a true successor to both this and the RX7. Yeah, I don't feel like this is a good successor to it. It should had been its own thing.

basically any defender
Old Defender best Defender.
Personally though I like the Series 3 the most, it sits in a nice transitional spot in the designs.

New car, loving this thing, never thought I would get a mustang. Hope I dont end up on one of those mustang crashes into crowd videos.
Kinda funny how many mustangs you see in those compilations.

There are a few ex-military defenders near where I live that I see driving around every so often, they're fucking sweet.
Basically this
[t]http://www.remlr.com/photos/pics4/110-walkaround3.jpg[/t]
Helps that they look so nice in ADF colours too.
My dad also has a Defender (civilian), had a Discovery series 2 before but the Defender just has so much more character.
[editline]31st December 2016[/editline]
It's a shame that they're being replaced in service by merc G-wagons in the ADF.

There is a workshop nearby here that specialises in restoring ex military rovers and swapping them with Toyota engines because easier to maintain and spare parts are abundant.
Usually diesel 1KZ engines are used but once a while you get mega unicorns like a defender powered by a twin turbo 2jz.
A friend of mine has a 110 with an 8L engine pulled out of a hino lorry and holy shit that thing hauls mega ass.

I've got a blue Kadett C City. They're lovely cars. This one's the facelifted version, mine is the C1 with round headlights. I should get some proper photos of it sometime.

I wouldn't. I'd sell it and buy something else. They start at $30k. That can get you a much, much better car.

Heck, for not much more it's probably a better investment in a BEV by grabbing a Tesla Model 3 (with rebates/discounts of course) when they drop next year.

are you shitting me, you can get any modern american muscle car for that price
In the US, electric/plug-in cars are subsidized through tax credits, in addition to whatever state/city rebates are available. The MSRP on an electric/plug-in car might be high but you have to factor in these incentives, the reduced cost per mile of these vehicles, etc. Depending on what state and city you live in, these rebates can be very aggressive in encouraging people to go for them, in the forms of further cash rebates, free parking, whatever. One of the reasons I was considering one for getting around town.
The other is that I am tired of being hung out to dry by my hooptie. I have always considered myself a (very low-tier) car nut and get enjoyment out of maintaining my car but it is officially starting to fall apart. Behold, the coolest and ugliest car ever in my life: a 1994 Toyota Paseo. Coolest because it was the first car I ever did serious work on, and ugliest because it almost got me fired because it broke down on the freeway once. I cherish the good times I had with it, but I would also like to see it thrown into a car crusher.

(Not my exact car, but close, down to the steelies , bumper damage, and location not even in the same galaxy as comfort or fun)

Designing a car for maximum range often means you sacrifice looks for aerodynamics.
Teslas are pretty sharp looking, imo. They need to not cut off the grilles though.
remember the supervan
