Well if it's supposed to be humorous, I had a HILARIOUS conversation with my cousin the other night.
I had bought a bag of sunflower seeds (the kind in the shell) and he told me that usually when he eats those, he ends up crushing the seed inside accidentally. I then find out that he has a different chewing technique than I do; He lays the seed flat on his back teeth and cracks it longways, whereas I stand the seed up vertically and crack it open like that. I pretty much never break the seed that way. So he tried out my seed-eating technique and said that it's actually a much easier method of eating them. But that's when another problem arose! The issue came up of a common plague of sunflower-seed-eaters: Accidentally spitting out the seed once the shell is cracked open. I hate it when that happens. It's such a disappointment! So that's when my cousin suggested chewing the seed while the cracked shell is still in your mouth. That way you pretty much never have to worry about accidentally losing it.
