A really good essay and resume of extracuriculars is CRITICAL to getting into the top 400 colleges in the country, good grades aren't as heavily weighted anymore with the decline of public education and the influx of foreign competition. I had around a 3.0 but I had a sizable sports career and insightful essay which got me into more colleges, and better ones, than my peers who were just book worms.
Money
You guys do realize just having the money doesn't get you into a college. Plus you're forgetting about scholarships.
Walk through the door.
Pay a lot of money.
pay a shit ton of money. if you live in america that is. getting a good education means either a shit ton of debt your being born with rich parents.
If you have really good grades, divorced parents, and neither one making any money, you can usually score some big scholarship funds.
