Rockets tend to do that.
Bit different from those slow-ass space shuttles.
5th launched
Wasn't that the 3rd just now?
Odd, only saw 3 launch.
Someone on the stream said "NASA_Wallops: Wanna go on a date? I love smart chicks." NASA_Wallops responded with "TheMrNashville: Unfortunately I'm a hairy bearded guy.. but thanks anyway" :v:
oh god what is happening
That was awesome! Now they need to do the same with 5 Delta Vs. I'd fly cross country to see that any fucking day.
I recorded pretty much all of it, so if anyone who missed it would like to see it, let me know and I will upload some footage when I wake up. Good night, Facepunch.
That was amazing. I am glad I stayed up. I went outside, and for three minutes (one minute passed over the 2 minute time I was told I would see them), and was worried since I didn't see anything. And then, as I am about to walk home, I look back into the south-eastern skyline, which was clear of any clouds and dark as anything... when suddenly the most fucking beautiful, and yet the strangest, sight I have ever seen comes out of no where. I can best describe it as the whole sky dark as night, with an orange-reddish glowing small image of a rocket streaking out of blackness, with a white-reddish (eventually just white) streak of smoke. I am almost four hundred miles from this, and I saw it with the naked eye perfectly. A minute or so later, several other streaks appeared in the sky. I am sure the pictures from Pennsylvania viewers like me will be available soon. Again, this can only be described as breath taking and beautiful, even to someone (myself) who has worked with explosives, pyrotechnics, and seen airshows for over a decade. I am no longer upset that I pulled an all nighter on a work night, it was so worth it. I'll upload mine, I was recording overnight.

I missed it...
What I saw after the trails started getting hammered by the 300-400 mph winds
I would like to see it again, just to relive my first "pre-launch" :P .... how big is the file? I am wondering if I could burn it to a dvd or two.
I have 24GB of footage. Fraps split it into 6 4GB files, each around 11 minutes long. One of these clips has footage from T-3 minutes until about 8 minutes after the launches. All 24GB of the footage starts from about 12:57 AM and ends at about 1:55 AM (PST). Unfortunately, I do not have ustream premium, so there is a 20 second advertisement every 10 minutes. But nothing special happened during the ads. [editline]27th March 2012[/editline]
PLEASE record it, please.
I recorded about an hour of it, ending about 10 minutes after the final launch.
