iirc they said they were gonna try to make a non horror game. but my memory is a bit hazy.
By the way, Frictional has had leaks of concept art for a scifi horror game dating back to 2009 (I may have the date wrong, but it was before the Amnesia sequel at least), so I'm pretty sure SOMA was gonna happen either way.
It's always weird when a band you like responds to a tweet you made that is not even about them. I always forget some bands follow me on twitter.

I really really wish I had kept this zip file of concept art from Frictional. One of the guys I was working with on the Machine for Pigs ARG gave it to me, and it had some really cool stuff. I deleted it before SOMA was announced, so I can't be sure that it was specifically for SOMA, but I know it was a scifi horror game and I recall underwater things.
