Sounds like a cockney man saying sonic the hedgehog when you say it out loud.

that would be edge'og
I know that and the normal garden had glitches that let you go out of the map. Maybe it's something like that?
I know what your talking about, but the cave thing wasn't that. I would show you the original picture from where I found it but there is no way id be able to remember where I seen it. It was in the devil garden and on the right side of the blood pool by the cage there was an opening and the chao can swim in and play in there and junk.
So I started League of Legends today, thinking I was gonna play me some badass Teemo, when I saw there was an update. The changelog seemed innocent enough, just a few bugfixes, but two things caught my eye. The first one was "-Made Trynd's Endless Rage ta" and the second was "-Improved Teemo". Me loving Teemo , I was all for that shit. So I launched the game, and Joined a server. My teammates decided to play as Vlad and Tryndamere, and I was slightly mad, because Trynd obviously didn't read the Changelog. The opposing force ended up being Warwick, Shako, and Blitzcrank. I was slightly worried, seeing as a Jungler could fuck me up bad, and AP Shako is OP. When we joined the game, Me and Vlad decided that I'd take top lane. For some reason, Trynd wasn't moving, so we dismissed it as AFK. After about 5 minutes, me and Vlad had already hit level 7, and the enemies were about level 4 (as it turns out, warwick wasn't jungling after all). As I'm fighting blitz on top, I see trynd come out of nowhere and kill Blitz almost instantly. I found it odd, seeing as he was only level 5 (don't ask how, must've farmed when we weren't looking), but I was happy for the help anyways. After a few minutes, Trynd makes it to our level, and he's ambushed by Shako and Warwick. As he's about to die, the words "ENDLESS RAGE" appear over his head, repeatedly (it normally does this, ER keeps him alive for a while if he's wounded bad). Oddly enough, even after he made it back to base it was still appearing.
fuck this i'm not writing anymore god this is so bad
Apparently in Wow, light levels were supposed to be an important part of the game. There was even a skill to make campfires and torches, but they scrapped it. I don't think there are any details on what exactly they were planning to do with the whole thing but it would've made for a neat gameplay mechanic. The only things left of it are the campfire ability that that dumped in with cooking, and that the torch items that stayed in the game give off light.

I'll have to dig up my old GameCube to look for it. I'm pretty sure I had both gardens unlocked.
I enjoyed the Godzilla Creepypasta, but one thing that irked me was the custom sprites.
Although they were very well made, I felt like the size was off-putting and distracting. I used to read and make sprite comics (several years ago) and I could really tell these didn't fit.
For instance, this custom sprite works just fine.

However, this one shows a major flaw. He made the custom sprites with regular pixels, whereas the original sprites were twice the size - each 'pixel' was 2x2.

This is even more apparent by the later levels. Rather than unnerving, it just looks like an ill-fitting sprite comic.

I have no problem with stuff like this, but I feel the story would be better if he made SNES-quality custom sprites that were the same pixel-size as the NES ones.

I actually hated that effect. It annoyed me through the whole thing how the text messing up wasn't messing up like an NES game's text would have, since it was distorting in a way that gave it twice the resolution. I'd imagine that on an actual NES game, if the text messed up it would just change to tiles from things it wasn't meant to show as text, which I actually think could've been creepier.

I get the feel that he was trying to have it build up to slowly become more and more realistic. Even in the Zenith levels with the realistic fleshy enemies he still only uses a few colors per sprite.
I think the tearing probably would work better later on, and the early levels would be nice with more realistic glitch effects.

Oooh, heard of Omnivore? Game only ever came out as a limited-release beta. Apparently it put the player in the role of a sort of mantis-like jungle alien hunting other primtive alien tribes and eating them. Supposedly the game gives you hints that something's wrong, culminating in the realization that you're just a person and have been killing (and eating) tourists, campers, park rangers, etc. in some anonymous forest. The beta even had a few FMVs of cannibalism on the player's part which were supposed to be highly graphic and to involve children.

wait I get it now, not bad.
Got it now, had to read it again.
That was great.

Indeed; it seems kinda realistic, except for that bit at the end where he thinks the game is "possessed" or something, and thinks himself "doomed". If it were using all sorts of infrasounds or subliminal messagings, then it'd seem more real; and much of the scariness from horror stories is the feeling that something like it could actually happen. I had a similar feeling when I was way younger and watched Nightmare on Elm Street; I couldn't really sleep that night since I had a feeling something would attack me in my sleep, not necessarily Freddy but maybe something else like him.
Nowadays such things are kinda creepy and spooky but don't have that bony grasp around my heart; there aren't any things in the real world that can enter your dreams and kill you there. At least, not on this planet/not in this universe. If I lived in a reality where mysticism and suchlike were more "corporeal", and things such as possessed electronic media actually existed and were capable of altering your mind, it'd be all the more scarier, whereas in this mundane and methodical universe no such things are yet possible, and likewise supernatural stories evoke more of a sense of interest and unsettlement, rather than an actual genuine fear of something dangerous. Stories like that of a serial killer, a mortal madman who wants to kill people, are more grounded in reality, more likely to happen, and that's what scares many people, especially if they live in a dangerous neighbourhood like the rundown slums of downtown.
Nonetheless unsettling imagery can certainly persist in one's mind, lingering amongst the synapses and suchlike; especially before you sleep, and if it's left enough of an impression it could indeed affect your dreams unless your mind drifts to other things as you slowly lose consciousness.
Another thing I want to talk about today is adult fears. These kinda fears are like not being able to make your next payment (many people were kicked out of their houses in America, and this thing is probably still happening as homes are repossessed), your parents dying in a car crash (all it takes is a brief loss of control for a car crash to occur), your kids being taken away by twisted individuals (that guy in the white van has plans for your children), losing a close friend to substance abuse or terminal illness (such things can indeed occur), etc.
They're not usually things many of us think about, especially since some of us don't have kids or have stable financial conditions, but they are things that can happen to most if not all people. For example, any caring parents here (are there actually any?) would be more than unsettled by the thought of their children being taken away by a complete stranger, and anyone who's dealt with drugs would probably know all too well the risks of becoming dangerously addicted; if you don't keep control of yourself you can end up compelled to take more than you need, and may be driven to extreme measures to feed an out-of-control habit.
Whilst it can be used to make an unsettling horror story, it also has dangerous potential for stimulating moral panic and being used as a propaganda tool to further causes of a potentially insidious nature.
Another example of adult fear stems from warfare; back in the Cold War there were fears that the world superpowers would engage in nuclear warfare, using atomic weapons that could render areas uninhabitable for a very long time. There would be times when people would hear a plane overhead and think "this is it", though thankfully no bombs were dropped during that tense stalemate of many decades, despite MANY close calls. Yet another example of war-based adult fear involves an old war that has been well-remembered; World War 2. For British citizens, the proximity of the United Kingdom to the German war machine rolling across Europe was indeed cause for concern; the Nazis could have invaded at any moment if England's defenses failed, not to mention the wrath of the German bombers, who dropped their explosive payloads all over Britain, the London Blitz being one of the more prominent ones. One could hear the air raid sirens and they'd KNOW that they had to get to the shelter; the Germans could very well drop a bomb right on top of their house, even with the blackouts making it nearly impossible for the bombers to hit their targets.
And of course there was, and still is, a universal fear that comes naturally to those whose close friends and/or family serve as soldiers; the fear of the enemy sending Tommy home in a box. All those who serve their countries know that they run the risk of being killed by the enemy, and the friends/families of those send to fight all have to contend with the chilling possibility that they might not see their child/parent/partner/drinking buddy when the war's over. Even with all our advanced armours and sophisticated weaponry, a warzone is a place where death is not merely a possibility, but a guarantee. Even with all the planning in the world, all the best armour and finest weapons, there will always be at least one casualty; a father who won't make it home for Christmas, a husband who will never see his wife again, a son whose parents will see lowered into a 6ft deep hole in the hallowed ground of a graveyard.
The possibility of bad things happening is always there, even with the best security and safety possible, and the realistic possibilities of such things occuring is what makes adult fears so powerful.
ALSO, one final fear that is valid for gamers; the fear of a franchise so dearly loved, one that you grew up with, being twisted in a direction that ultimately leads to it being a twisted parody of it's former glory. For example, the fears of Duke Nukem Forever not being up to snuff, anxieties concerning the story quality of upcoming/future BioWare titles (ME3, DA3, etc), the chilling thought that there might not ever be another installment in such loved franchises as Half-Life or Chrono Trigger, or even the fear of losing your entire Steam account. For me, that last one's a biggie, since i've got a lot of good games on there, many hundreds of pounds i've spent on it, and losing all of that is something that terrifies me more than the thought of the modern shooter NOT being a fad (the whole dealio with quick health regen and super-linear maps that has tragically not faded into obscurity and/or yielded sub-par revenue).

No,
Snowboard kids creepypasta.
CHIM in The Elder Scrolls lore really interests me, yet still creeps me out. There's quite a few links that branch off from this one, that can actually provide a lot of knowledge on what it is exactly.

Supersnail11, if you could replace the NES Godzilla link in the OP with this one, it'd be great.

Rather than having to crawl through pages of forum chatter between chapters, this compiles them all together.

Did you really think it is a serious creepypasta?
Did you really think it is a serious creepypasta?
Is any creepypasta really serious unless it's a retelling of actual events?
Is any creepypasta really serious unless it's a retelling of actual events?
I think he means serious as being not a parody of creepypasta, as in the author was serious about it being meant as a creepypasta.
Did you really think it is a serious creepypasta?
It shames me to admit it but yeah, I had to go back and read it again before I got it.

I honestly was about to point out some of the flaws in it before I got to the end and I realized that it was like that on purpose.

Do you mean like in the Dreamcast version of the devil garden? (3 minutes, 35 seconds)

I don't get it please explain.
I don't get it please explain.
It's basically a template/guide for every bad creepypasta. It's taking every silly aspect of the average creepypasta (such as talking to the game without questioning how this is possible) and says it in a very blunt and matter-of-factly way. It doesn't even mention the game but you could take any game's (bad) creepy pasta and it would probably play out similar to that.
Not sure if I explained it well but I think that's the basic idea
It's basically "Creepypasta for dummies"

Maybe off-topic, but wow, it's funny how the Dreamcast tanked considering that the graphics were way above and beyond the rest of the consoles in its generation (and it had internet...and Half-Life was supposed to be ported to it).
its mostly because it was not dvd capable
its mostly because it was not dvd capable
But neither did the Gamecube, or the Wii for that matter
[editline]12th January 2012[/editline]
Yes, I realize they came later
I love the dreamcast, but the controller feels.. off.
