Remember that source mod I mentioned a page back? Well Masu found it:
Let's see. It's called "Ballocks", apparently. Have a link.
And it's kind of fucked up. Now, bare in mind that this particular build is actually the demo (the full version got wiped from the creator's hard drive for some reason). It only has one not too long level in it and it's full of bugs (blame valve, it worked fine back in the day without all these source updates). Okay, so to start with: The plot is that in 2000 years men have evolved into "Ballocks". These furry little things live in forests, feed on the blood of females and can reproduce asexually. Women haven't evolved much and are a dying race since they cannot reproduce... Well, unless they have an Elder Ballock to use as a sperm donor! Guess what they just did to your elders. Just guess. Now you have to rescue them in this 10-minute journey! Also, women apparently have a metric fuckton of blood in their system, because this game is very bloody. [sp]You even kill a small girl to lure a guard into the room, which you kill. You then rip her arm off and stick it on a hand scanner thingy to advance through the rest of the game.[/sp]
You'd think, for a game that's been out for over decade, that all the secrets have been uncovered. But some programmers have uncovered a fully functional ZX Spectrum 48x emulator on the original GoldenEye 64 ROM - all that's missing is a program monitor and a way to load it. However, there's a rom mod that allows you to open it. There's even 10 games already on the cartridge.
It's like how the developers of arkham asylum had to tell us about the Ac easter-egg because nobody found it after a few months

Imagine the faces of the devs "WHEW, FINALLY YOU GUYS!"
And Goldeneye 64 took how much, like 32 mb?
Day 0 Well, I got it working. I had to play something. I had just got a new laptop, and my dad was going away to China on business for a month, and I had to come. Since I had only two days to figure out something to play, I decided to revisit one of my favorite games from 2010: Fallout New Vegas. Unfortunately, I’d lost my steam account in early 2011, so it was impossible to play it again with normal means. I still had the disc, though, but that’s useless if you can’t redeem the code on steam. So I googled it, extracted the files from the disk, and downloaded a crack. It was a long process, took almost two hours, but it was worth it. Tomorrow I’ll be on a plane, and after that I’ll be without a reliable internet connection - not to mention TPB’s probably blocked by the government or something. But I have something to play. Now I have to pack my bags, it’s an early flight. Day 1 I started a new character. After clicking random things in the opening part with the Doc, I stole all his stuff from his shelves and made my way to the tutorial quest. Since I selected Hardcore mode, I needed to do the tutorial quest. I didn’t really listen to the part about cooking, because it was basically useless if you’re not on hardcore. I went down to the Prospector Saloon and talked to Sunny Smiles. I finished the quest and went back to the Prospector Saloon to talk to Trudy. I’m faced with Joe Cobb arguing with Trudy. Being the evil one, I run after Joe and ask to help. I kill Ringo, get supplies, and kill the townsfolk. That’s all the time I had, it was late and I don’t want to miss out on too much sleep.
Working on an FNV creepypasta.
Interesting. How many days do you plan on doing for this creepypasta?
Interesting. How many days do you plan on doing for this creepypasta?
No idea. Once I finish it, I guess.
I had an idea to incorporate the bugs of the game, like the inside-out people, into the pasta. Also, the reason it's a crack and I'm in china is so there's a convincing reason why it's weird, why I can't get a new crack, and why I'm not playing something else.
Hey guys, I've been following this thread a while even when it slowed down. I really like odd and unknown things in videogames, even made up stories like creepypastas. Anyone got anymore that wasn't mentioned here? I've been waiting to come across a Skyrim one.
Here's one 4 teh lulz
Hello, I am Pete Hines of Bethesda Game studios and Skyrim is not real. I have not heard from Todd Howard in 6 years, despite many failed attempts at emailing or calling him. Oddly enough, last week Todd called me. Of course I was relived and I told him I was searching for him. But he disregarded it and, in my excitement to speak with him again, I let it go for the present moment. He invited me to come down to the old office to play, and of course I was still wary because our office was closed. We had gone bankrupt after Oblivion failed and our building was foreclosed upon. However, he gave me the same address. I went and it was open I went in and talked to Todd- he looked so old like in the 6 years I had not seen him he had aged 5 lifetimes. He told me how he tried to call me and had tracked me down and how my house was gone and I was not answering- I was worried what was happening what was doing this. But I had no choice but to move on to the testing room and play it started normal Todd was in the room guiding me and telling me what to do he constantly warned me not to go into any dungeons I asked him why he told me it was not textured so I moved on when Todd left for a Game Informer interview. I went into a dungeon but it was textured but there was no light my dragonborns health was gone and there was a voice- I think it was it was Todd's begging me to help him telling me that in Skyrim is embedded with subliminal messaging that causes its users to commit suicide. I tried to talk to Todd he was crying and crying, telling me the last time he was a corplreal being. I rushed out of the dungeon the world in Kkyrim was completely black and white I realized what had happened now. We were in our youth satanists as much of necromancy- and TES is based on we had pledged that at an unknown time we had to give our souls for Satan and that's where Todd is and where I was about to go. Right after I made the shocking realization Todd came back in and i cant even describe it it was like a bear morphing into a shark.... he lunged at me and started spurring satanic verse's it was the end for me. Now Todd, I am writing this to you posthumans. As I said I had to become Skyrim, so now I'm in the Xbox's mainframe, wandering around and writing my tale.
[editline]3rd April 2012[/editline] http://home.comcast.net/~zphreak/Tetris.txt This was hidden on the N64 game "The New Tetris"
Here's one 4 teh lulz *Story*
Although that was supposed to be funny, the first sentence got me thinking: The idea of a famous video game or just a popular piece of entertainment not existing intrigues me. Maybe there could be a story about a fictional game that comes out and the story's written all Candle Cove style where a gaming forum says how awesome the game is and how real the graphics are. The creepy part is when they describe the game mechanics of the game, story, genre, etc. and everyone has a completely contradicting description of how the game was. It's then revealed that there wasn't a game at all: They were just looking at a blank screen that imposed their idea of the best game ever on their monitor! It wouldn't be a scary story, just kind those kinds of stories that give you that "What a tweest!" feeling at the end.

Maybe if all of the different games shared one creepy feature, image, or character it would be scarier. Then again, you weren't going for scary at all
Holy shit the NES Godzilla creepypasta has an alternate ending: http://nesgodzillacreepypasta.blog.com/2012/03/18/alternate-ending/
What is Candle Cove? I've seen it mentioned here a few times, but I remember looking it up and not finding anything. Could somebody link me to an explanation?
Basically, a bunch of people on a bbs talk about a show that didn't exist.
Skyshale033 Subject: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Does anyone remember this kid’s show? It was called Candle Cove and I must have been 6 or 7. I never found reference to it anywhere so I think it was on a local station around 1971 or 1972. I lived in Ironton at the time. I don’t remember which station, but I do remember it was on at a weird time, like 4:00 PM. mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? it seems really familiar to me…..i grew up outside of ashland and was 9 yrs old in 72. candle cove…was it about pirates? i remember a pirate marionete at the mouth of a cave talking to a little girl Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? YES! Okay I’m not crazy! I remember Pirate Percy. I was always kind of scared of him. He looked like he was built from parts of other dolls, real low-budget. His head was an old porcelain baby doll, looked like an antique that didn’t belong on the body. I don’t remember what station this was! I don’t think it was WTSF though. Jaren_2005 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Sorry to ressurect this old thread but I know exactly what show you mean, Skyshale. I think Candle Cove ran for only a couple months in ‘71, not ‘72. I was 12 and I watched it a few times with my brother. It was channel 58, whatever station that was. My mom would let me switch to it after the news. Let me see what I remember. It took place in Candle cove, and it was about a little girl who imagined herself to be friends with pirates. The pirate ship was called the Laughingstock, and Pirate Percy wasn’t a very good pirate because he got scared too easily. And there was calliope music constantly playing. Don’t remember the girl’s name. Janice or Jade or something. Think it was Janice. Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Thank you Jaren!!! Memories flooded back when you mentioned the Laughingstock and channel 58. I remember the bow of the ship was a wooden smiling face, with the lower jaw submerged. It looked like it was swallowing the sea and it had that awful Ed Wynn voice and laugh. I especially remember how jarring it was when they switched from the wooden/plastic model, to the foam puppet version of the head that talked. mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? ha ha i remember now too. do you remember this part skyshale: “you have…to go…INSIDE.” Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Ugh mike, I got a chill reading that. Yes I remember. That’s what the ship always told Percy when there was a spooky place he had to go in, like a cave or a dark room where the treasure was. And the camera would push in on Laughingstock’s face with each pause. YOU HAVE… TO GO… INSIDE. With his two eyes askew and that flopping foam jaw and the fishing line that opened and closed it. Ugh. It just looked so cheap and awful. You guys remember the villain? He had a face that was just a handlebar mustache above really tall, narrow teeth. kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? i honestly, honestly thought the villain was pirate percy. i was about 5 when this show was on. nightmare fuel. Jaren_2005 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? That wasn’t the villain, the puppet with the mustache. That was the villain’s sidekick, Horace Horrible. He had a monocle too, but it was on top of the mustache. I used to think that meant he had only one eye. But yeah, the villain was another marionette. The Skin-Taker. I can’t believe what they let us watch back then. kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? jesus h. christ, the skin taker. what kind of a kids show were we watching? i seriously could not look at the screen when the skin taker showed up. he just descended out of nowhere on his strings, just a dirty skeleton wearing that brown top hat and cape. and his glass eyes that were too big for his skull. christ almighty. Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Wasn’t his top hat and cloak all sewn up crazily? Was that supposed to be children’s skin?? mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? yeah i think so. rememer his mouth didn’t open and close, his jaw just slid back and foth. i remember the little girl said “why does your mouth move like that” and the skin-taker didn’t look at the girl but at the camera and said “TO GRIND YOUR SKIN” Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? I’m so relieved that other people remember this terrible show! I used to have this awful memory, a bad dream I had where the opening jingle ended, the show faded in from black, and all the characters were there, but the camera was just cutting to each of their faces, and they were just screaming, and the puppets and marionettes were flailing spastically, and just all screaming, screaming. The girl was just moaning and crying like she had been through hours of this. I woke up many times from that nightmare. I used to wet the bed when I had it. kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? i don’t think that was a dream. i remember that. i remember that was an episode. Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? No no no, not possible. There was no plot or anything, I mean literally just standing in place crying and screaming for the whole show. kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? maybe i’m manufacturing the memory because you said that, but i swear to god i remember seeing what you described. they just screamed. Jaren_2005 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Oh God. Yes. The little girl, Janice, I remember seeing her shake. And the Skin-Taker screaming through his gnashing teeth, his jaw careening so wildly I thought it would come off its wire hinges. I turned it off and it was the last time I watched. I ran to tell my brother and we didn’t have the courage to turn it back on. mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? i visited my mom today at the nursing home. i asked her about when i was littel in the early 70s, when i was 8 or 9 and if she remebered a kid’s show, candle cove. she said she was suprised i could remember that and i asked why, and she said “because i used to think it was so strange that you said ‘i’m gona go watch candle cove now mom’ and then you would tune the tv to static and juts watch dead air for 30 minutes. you had a big imagination with your little pirate show.”
I played DOTA 2 for the first time today. When I opened up the game and went through the valve logo and intro, I went "OH FUCK FUCK FUCK HE'S TURNING TO LOOK AT ME" and then pressed Ctrl+Alt+Delete I've been reading this thread too much.
im trying to find an old post of mine about an old flashgame i played, think it was in a similar thread as this.
Was it this?
Two friends discuss a rumor about an Internet pop-up ad that asks "Do you like —?" (あなたは—好きですか? Anata wa — suki desu ka??). If someone closes the pop-up, he dies. The more skeptical friend does some investigation. At home, he researches it online but is unable to find anything about the site online. After he ends his search and begins looking at his usual websites, the message pops up, with a childlike voice asking: "Do you like —?" Even after he closes the pop up, it keeps re-appearing, repeatedly asking 'Do you like-?'. It then starts automatically reloading and the girls voice becomes mangled till the boy eventually notices the question changed to 'Do you like red?'. The boy keeps clicking off the pop-up until a new part of the message is revealed, finally asking the completed question in a normal childs voice" "Do you like the red room?" (あなたは赤い部屋が好きですか? Anata wa akai heya ga suki desu ka??). Then a website with a list of name appears, with the boy's friend at the bottom. The boy becomes aware of something behind him. The next day, there is rumour and gossip at a school about two students who committed suicide, painting their rooms red with their own blood. Then, the protagonist's computer is displayed, with the protagonist's name at the bottom of the list. It then shuts off, along with an eerie sound. After the video ends, if the user's browser has not disabled pop-ups, a pop-up resembling the ad from the story will appear.

-Quoted story here-
MOMMY I'M SCARED
I just found this skyrim pasta on a videogame creepypasta site I frequent, its an awful creepypasta, but compared to most game pastas, it's completely plausible.
aoc2020.esp On a lesser known skyrim modding forum I frequent someone brought up an old ESP from back when skyrim’s creation kit and steam workshop for skyrim came out, simply titled “aoc2020”. According to the user, back when steam workshop came out for skyrim, a mod file popped up for about a day, most users were saying it ‘Didn’t do anything’, was a ‘broken mod’, and was ‘generally awful’. Now, this continued for about the rest of the day. Prompting its removal from steam workshop, everybody forgot about it. Now, this is where things get odd, and the following is what the user stated about it. “I don’t think it really does anything, I would go through the ESP but I don’t feel like digging into a possibly contentless mod, it might have been a accidental upload.” Generally curious, I downloaded an played for a few hours with it, and noted any oddities, which I will show below. 1. Some NPC’s voice files are corrupted, examples being the Jarl of Whiterun having argonian greetings and such. 2. On killing a friendly NPC very quiet whispering can be heard, after about ten more kills another whisper plays and a message will pop up simply stating ‘Why?’. Now, at this point I had posted the second oddity, prompting people to check for new scripts, no new scripts were found, and nobody wanted to go through the default script files. I left the mod mounted for a few weeks and those were the only oddities, except for one, after the tenth kill the whispering can be heard every 6 to 16 ingame hours. I ignored this, prompting the thought of this possibly being some custom questline bugs, probably a murder questline, one more for just killing. After getting annoyed of the whispering I turned off the sound, and guess what, you’re probably reading this thinking “Oh it’s just another creepypasta here comes the ‘BUT I COULD STILL HEAR IT’ part!”, but I couldn’t hear it, so that was that. Now, I played from the game start up to level 20, and it had been about 3 weeks in reality, No new data was posted, and some mods locked it, calling it a ‘Broken mod, download removed’. Meaning I would be cut off unless someone emailed me. Now, stuff was getting very odd, the whispering had stopped about 2 weeks ago, but now you would sometimes hear it alongside a whispering and hear something sprint away from you, sometimes in darker dungeons, such as dwemer ruins, you could glimpse some draugr eyes colored pure white turning and running. At this point I was quite annoyed, and wanted to get it with a bow, which I had specialized in. I used the perk that lets you zoom in and slow time to hit it, and got a critical hit saying ‘Critical Hit on Draugr Vengelord’. A ‘Vengelord’ doesn’t exist in the base game, so we now knew what the mod did, it adds something that hunts you for killing, or so I thought. Right now this document is getting a bit large, so I’ll split this up, if anyone can find this ESP, you need to try to get further than me, I’ll update within the months coming, as I plan to play for a few more weeks.
Edit just for reference, this is only redeemed from its silly idea with the fact that it isnt HYPERREALISTIC and IT WAS THEN IN MY HEAD FOR REALS and it can be done in the CK.
