Betmax was awesome, it had a better picture quality and I seem to remember the casettes almost universally being of better quality. But who can compete with 10+ hours of recording on Longplay.

Of course I remember! I still have to! We have a shit load of VHS tapes and a working VCR. Every so often (and believe me, it's often), we'll watch one and we'll find one that, as a kid, we forgot to rewind.
