Meditate or go to the sleep and dreams megathread n stuff.
I have the same problem as you. I use this: Or something similar to that. I don't know, but the sounds of paper flipping knocks me out.
push ups is dumb, your working your muscles so your body is going to try and give you more energy to get through that physical activity you are doing. It will make you tired but it wont make you go to sleep. It will KEEP you awake. what you need to do, is stay away from the computer/TV for at least 30 min before you head to bed (the lighting screws with your internal clock) Don't eat for at least 2 hours. Listen to calming music or no music at all. Is it so hard for people to think of this stuff really? Its common sense if you've taken 9th grade biology. I've forgotten to follow the Computer/TV part for a while so I am going to go take a shower, read Grapes of Wrath and head to bed. hopefully next week I will feel refreshed :)
Thanks for the 30 min thing, I forgot about that. Gonna stay off of the computer now and go to bed in 30 mins, will post tomorrow if I got a good night's sleep and woke up a little early so I got time to post.
I watch crappy youtube videos on my iPod in bed, you eventually cant keep your eyes open. Takes maybe 20 minutes if you're really tired.
Sound of rain and thunder help me the most.
Find your own sound. White Noise.
the answer is: be tired when you go to bed BOOM im a genius
:frog:
Binaural Beats. Works within 5 minutes for me.
try meth, you may be awake for a couple days but you fall asleep a lot faster, for a lot longer
Read a book for 15-30 minutes. It relaxes your brain and takes your mind off other stuff, making it easy to get to sleep.
Listen to Radiohead
TV. It helps me
Get more melatonin in your system. I have to take melatonin every day to fall asleep.

Count down from 300 by 3's. It really helps me, you concentrate just enough on counting down, that way you can't think about anything else that is bothering you, and then all of the sudden you're dreaming.

Well guys, I went to bed at about 11:50 pm, didn't really fall asleep until after 01:30 am, but that was just enough for me to be wide awake today. I tried counting sheep and go to about a hundred, it didn't help at all because I thought about other stuff simultaneously. I'll try Apple Piepod's method next time. I also masturbated twice but I don't think it helped much. Hope this thread helped others too!
Usually if i go to bed and i'm not tired enough to fall asleep quickly, i just start listening to some music (while i'm laying in bed, that is). I do nothing but just listen to music and think about it. After 20-30 minutes i become so tired that i barely even know what's playing, then i just turn off my music player and fall asleep quickly after that. You should try doing that, it works really well for me.
Everytime i sleep with music on, i wake up hearing the music in high pitch. Also ^ works for me.
Count creepers exploding
Take a 30 minute jog 2 hours before bed.
Watch TV / Read a book(if your a nerd) Takes your mind off shit, less stress before you go to bed making it easier... GET A GOD DAMN NEW BED
I got a good bed, very comfy.
Watch TV / Read a book(if your a nerd)
Are you dumb. Reading books is worse then watching your stupid TV show where two damn idiots bitch about pigeons having sex on the road in some country thats' name you have never heard (and will never hear again as long as such country does nto even exist) where bears walk the street and people are slaved by furries? Then i probably won't sleep for long time. Crying.
Think about the most mundane thing you possibly can. Or picture that each of your muscles, one by one, starting with your toes, are getting heavier and heavier... less easy to move... relax them all with your mind. Also, think about how tired you are, how you had such a long day, and exaggerate in your mind all the work you did.
To sleep: Stop posting about it on facepunch. /works
Take music you like that only sounds good when you play it loudly, and then play it quietly when you go to bed. Did it last night and slept like a baby.
