• Tricks for falling asleep faster?

TV keeps you awake, don't watch tv. Personally I love listening to something like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Alcest or Pink Floyd because of their ambient settings, as well as things like Mastodons' Crack The Skye album because it's just amazing to reflect on and although it's a metal album it's relaxing as fuck if you want it to be.
If you're having trouble sleeping you should get out of bed and dimm the lights. Do something for 15 minutes to reset your brain for sleep again. It usually works for me when I can't fall asleep.
I Read a bit and then when im bored with reading I fap and then ill lay down and think about gaming/ things im interested in or that happened that day.
Exercise.

Alcohol is usually what gets me to sleep when I need to get to sleep at a certain time Pretty bad actually.

Rain makes me sleep 1000x easier.
Take a hammer and aim for a spot on the back of your head, right above the ear line, about where the head starts to curve. Hit that spot as hard as possible. I guarantee a long sleep.
Get off the computer and stop watching TV an hour before you go to bed. It'll help your mind relax.
If you are laying down and you feel you need to move, or roll over, don't. This is called the rollover signal. Basically it's the bodies way of warning you you are about to fall into sleep paralysis (so you sleep safe), if you can fight the urge to not move (which can be really hard) you will fall right in sleep paralysis, not immediately of course but quicker then you would think.

What I do when I can't fall asleep is I lay there and try to not move at all. Just lay there like you're dead, and you will probably fall asleep pretty quickly. When I say don't move I mean DON'T MOVE, not even your eyes. Dunno if it helps; works for me at least.
Going to bed when you aren't tired in all honesty is not going to be a quick process. Just go to bed like an hour earlier then you want to actually fall asleep and you're golden.

I could watch Mythbusters and get a little bit smarter each second if I'm taking everything in
I find if I start making up music in my head I'll drift into sleep faster. It's wierd because when I actually do start to fall asleep, sometimes jazz starts playing in my head. I don't know why

This is what i do when i know that i can't fall asleep. I go to my head and count fruit. yes fruit. This is so boring that i fall asleep rather quickly. better then warm milk and counting sheep.
