It's "What Are You Thinking About", but we talk about anime as well. Everyone knows anime is gay anyways.

Like TV series, books, movies, games etc, anime is just another passtime which can be discussed a lot. It's wide in it's appeal and has something for everyone, so just like people enjoy discussing all sorts of books we enjoy discussing all sorts of anime.

[b]So basically you watch Dragonballz, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Gundam and Sailor Moon and circlejerk about their greatness and cultural importance and how different and better they are?[/b]
I hate that mainstream shit just as much as you bro. But... some of us enjoy that as well, just like some people are unfortunate enough to enjoy movies like Twilight.

[b]Why would you willingly torture yourself with retarded ansty fighting teenagers, giant robot politics, naked men screaming, and not to mention teenagers looking like toddlers (or fully grown adults) screeching loudly in your ear with the highest pitchable voice imaginable to mankind? And extreme amounts of boob jiggling and panty shots?[/b]
Because you get used to the language after a while when it suddenly turns into actual words insted of high pitched blabberjabber. Sure, there are a lot of shitty shows like with anything, but you will find genuinely enjoyable shows as well, and although they are a minority there are still more than enough of them given the wast amount of anime that is aired every third month.

With some searching you'll find anything ready to please your tastes. If you give some highly credited shows a try you might just find something you like. There are shows out there that are actually truly psychological, action shows that aren't retarded ninjas and muscle guys with magic exists in heaps. There is no lack of romance, sometimes taking it all the way from falling in love in high school to marriage and having jobs. There is comedy of all sorts, gags, sketches, parodies, references, genuine humor, random humor, etc etc. There are even shows that lets you sit down and watch a whole fucking episode mainly dedicated to a person sitting in a room reading a book, if that should tingle your interests, if you're that retarded.

20th Century already gets fewer votes in relation to other categories during the OP nominations (I believe it had around 70 while a category like Movies got around 115 votes). If you made separate categories for 80's and 90's stuff, then I'd be suprised if we had an 80's vote and anything other than Macross, Gundam, and Gunbuster got 2 votes or more.

Well, my thinking was more that if you specifically highlighted it/them as a category, they're going to get a little more thought put into them. It's a theoretical situation anyway, we wouldn't know unless we tried.

Myeah, but how many people actually watch 80's anime? Pretty much only people that like Gundam and Macross and the occasional person that likes Fist of the North Star.
