Visual novels are all about reading. The words are so much more important than the images on screen. When it comes to anime, a lot of the power is in the visuals and the voice acting. It's already a huge difference [I]hearing[/I] Yuuji speak, since he doesn't have a VA in the game and you're always reading his thoughts instead of listening to them. I think the anime is going to go a more animated route, giving more life visually to the comedic scenes than the novel did because you actually get to see the events taking place.

It would have been so much better if it was just about a highschool treasure-hunting club.[/sp] Also finished S1 of Spice and Wolf. I can see why it's so highly praised. Planning to try and finish S2 tonight, and maybe Hidamari x Honeycomb in the next few days if I can, then I'll go finish Steins;Gate.

I sometimes up end up spoiling shit for myself when I read stuff about a show that's a LN or VN adaptation.
