It's hilarious how nobody ever listens to the referee in Hajime no Ippo. This is the second time that somebody has been grabbed by the referee, yelled at to stop, resulting in them grabbing the referee back, shoving them out of the way, and then going back beating the shit out of their already incapacitated and declared to be knocked down opponent. And then get no fouls or punishment for it.

Yeah that was one of the few really frustrating things that bothered me in the series. The referee was blind to people doing really obvious shit and never punished them just to create drama.

I find that hard to agree seeing as while the stuff happening is very "crazy" in the more literal sense,the show is pretty grounded to reality and the action is not a high paced adrenaline rush that is more suited with wubstep.
Not only that,they put in the crazy wubs way before the action even happens completely ruining the build-up or mystery.

thinking about it now the rifle and the image i saw of her pulling it out from under her skirt reminded me a lot of mami from madoka
i know nothing about it. i wasn't interested in it before it aired, and i was banned when the first episode aired so i didn't see anyone talk about it because the discussion was over by the time i was unbanned.
i'll just watch parasyte instead.
