Watching Infinite Ryvius is weird. It has character designs by Hirai but it's in that weird period where Hirai could do character designs that don't really suffer from Hiraiface and it actually looks kind of decent, and whenever anybody's faces look like they're melting it's quality, not deliberate.

That being said, Hirai still only has so many faces in him in the first place, so watching this and Scryed is basically a game of spot-the-face.

Also you all should really watch Giant Robo, even if you don't like mecha. It's an outstanding series of OVAs.
You don't need to like mecha to watch Giant Robo because it's not really a mecha OVA, the primary focus is on kung fu, asian magic, and superpowers in general, the MC just happens to be in possession of a robot that can be described as giant.

Just finished Hidamari Honeycomb in an attempt to calm me down before a midterm I'm probably going to bomb. Sucks that all that's left of it is the Graduation OVA. It was nice to be able to just watch something chill when I wanted to.
