I've been listening to nightcore on and off whenever I'm playing games lately and I can't figure out whether or not nightcore is actually a genre of music or if it's more than just sped up tempos and higher pitched vocals since it seems to vary a lot. I've been getting the same vibes from j-core too so I can't tell if something is a nightcore version of something that would otherwise be j-core or if it's just j-core. Is j-core a genre either?

i don't actually know anything about nightcore except i saw a video that was a nightcore remix of one of Swans' songs and it was literally just the song sped up
vaporwave has some vibes tho, even if it was just literally music slowed down it's got some serious vibes going on, unlike a sped up chipmunk michael gira speaking nonsensicalities into my ear completely removing all traces of the great atmospheric density of the original work because ~nightcore~

Most (basically all) modern Nightcore is. Old, real Nightcore was actual remixes that did more than just speed +30.
Thing is that the only people that bother making Nightcore now are weeaboos, so it's all terrible sped up trash now.

I've only been listening to it for about a week but my experience so far is that it's either "fun to listen to" or "100% ear grating." I can't just sit down and listen to nightcore but if I'm playing a fighting/racing/rhythm game it's fun. But holy shit if you're taking something like Swans and just raising the speed of it it should be called just that. Or garbage. It works with trancey hardcore whatever stuff since it has a sort of early club mix sound to it but that's about it.
Also do people still play osu!? All the rhythm games I played are dead now.

Speed +30 and Bass Boosting can help some songs like Ravers Fantasy, but for the most of them it's original Nightcore remixes, original version, or don't bother because the Nightcore version is trash.

The Sibyl HQ is in the region where the anime takes place in, I assume Sibyl has branches though throughout the world.
I like Psycho-Pass as an anime but I think the entire crime coefficient system is a bit silly, like who the fuck passed the thing to be put in place in the first place.
The # episode of anime was a huge letdown.
